This truly was a haven and sanctuary. The grounds , facilities and staff were exceptional. Everyone was truly focused on service to us and they genuinely seemed to love their jobs.
That we had to leave ! Seriously, 4 days went by so fast.
Centrally located in Jaipur in a tranquil green oasis. We loved the painted interiors and furnishings with coffee table mementos from the past. The amazing breakfast (banana pancakes) under the veranda with view of the banyan tree, aperitif in the courtyard bar and delicious dinner (dal makhani curry slow cooked like a thick chocolate sauce) under the stars with friendly musicians. The pool, the spa steam room and a facial (I fell asleep during so heavenly!) and body massage was perfect! Jaipur is a fun place to stay 4 nights, we did a block painting workshop, a cooking class with a ‘master chef’ family as well as the bazaars, the city palace and museums. I could spend my whole holiday in the Samode and in Jaipur! The kids experienced a lot here. So lovely. We will return!
Whilst our ‘upgraded’ rooms had the structure of an Indian palace and were spacious and comfortable we found their grey and white painted walls a little sober for a hotel famous for its extensively painted interiors.
The pool only opens at 8 am (after cleaning) which makes it a bit late for a tourist schedule as it’s best to leave early to visit places. I would have checked before I accepted the upgrade whether the rooms we had booked were more colourful and closer to the pool. The bar in the front courtyard was lovely but closes a little early for us at 9 pm. We like to play board games and cards with our family. That’s just a detail on the overall great stay. Thank you to the staff of the Samode Haveli!
Really convenient location and a lovely oasis to escape the hustle and bustle of beautiful Jaipur!
Beautiful property that feels like an oasis from the hectic city. Thoughtfully restored and decorated to feel authentic. Food was great. Drinks are a little on the pricey side but the spots to have drinks are all stunning so it feels mostly worth it. Staff are all really welcoming and friendly.
Do not miss the moring tour, it was the highlight of our trip. Food was great. We used their transfer service to Delhi it was great and very fast and reliable. would throughly recommend.
Absolutely just perfect
