Das Hotel liegt recht zentral und befindet sich in einem schönen Altbau mit viel Flair und angenehm hohen Räumen. Wir bekamen ein Executive-Zimmer, das ausgesprochen groß und geräumig war.

Die gesamte Hotelanlage ist allerdings ebenfalls sehr groß. Dadurch wirkte das Haus auf mich eher wie ein klassisches Hotel einer internationalen Kette und weniger wie ein persönliches Boutique-Hotel.

Das Frühstück wird offiziell von 6:30 bis 10:30 Uhr angeboten. Bei unserem Besuch wurde jedoch bereits gegen 10:00 Uhr damit begonnen, Teile des Buffets abzuräumen. Das empfand ich als ungewöhnlich und störend. Auch die Auswahl und Qualität des Buffets entsprachen nicht ganz meinen Erwartungen an ein Hotel dieser Kategorie. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich die Möglichkeit, zusätzlich Speisen à la carte zu bestellen. Diese waren reichhaltig und geschmacklich gut.

Sehr empfehlenswert ist die Rooftop-Bar. Die Aussicht über Jakarta ist hervorragend, besonders in der Abenddämmerung und nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit. Für einen Cocktail lohnt sich der Besuch auf jeden Fall. Die Preise liegen allerdings ungefähr auf europäischem Niveau.

Unangenehm fanden wir, dass das gepolsterte Kopfteil unseres Bettes sichtbare Flecken aufwies. Das sollte in einem Hotel dieser Kategorie aus meiner Sicht nicht vorkommen.

Insgesamt hatte der Aufenthalt durchaus positive Seiten, insbesondere das großzügige Zimmer, das historische Gebäude und die Rooftop-Bar. Aufgrund der Größe, der für mich eher unpersönlichen Atmosphäre, des Frühstückserlebnisses und des Zustands des Kopfteils würde ich das Hotel bei einem weiteren Aufenthalt in Jakarta dennoch nicht erneut buchen.

Zeer ruime kamers. Uiterst vriendelijk personeel en goede service tijdens het ontbijt. Vieze borden werden snel opgehaald.

Cons:

Het enige wat jammer was was dat er geen balkonnetjes waren bij de kamers. Verder is het best prijzig denk ik voor indonesie.

A great place to spend a few days in Jakarta!

Beautiful colonial style building with impeccable design. Good location to some great restaurants and places near by plus a great antique market where we bought some good traditional Indonesian crafts as presents. The room was very comfortable and a large size. The staff were kind and helpful plus the pool and roof top bar were a good pace to unwind or have a cocktail at the end of a busy day exploring.
