Wonderful experience overall. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Pros:

We had an amazing experience during our 5-nights stay at The Hermitage Hotel. From day one at our arrival to the end of the 6-day visit of the Menteng and the broader Jakarta areas, The Hermitage service was superb and the staff made us feel comfortable and well cared for. The valet service, the front desk agents, the meal service team as well as the housekeeping staff were all friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner there due to their wide and nice food selection. The rooms and beds are comfortable, clean and cozy.

The swimming pool and gym on the top floor are a cool place to relax, as well as “The Vue” area at the roof top of this beautiful, colonial-style hotel.

The property is beautiful, full of old world charm. The happy hour and breakfast were delectable. 10/10 would recommend and will stay here again if I’m ever in Jakarta.

The hotel is gorgeous, the location good.

Cons:

Everything takes a long time. The roomservice took a good while, the plates didn’t get cleaned away even after calling to ask. There should have been a smart tv, but there wasn’t, which took the hotel an hour to investigate. A solution was offered by switching rooms, which was kind, but also just tiring. Quicker service would be expected in a place of this standing.

Intimate quiet peaceful pleasant classy 5 star hotel, excellent
Pros:

Intimate hotel where you will see the same guests more often than not which is rather pleasant

A lot of the rooms have adjoining doors more so on the upper floors so if this is a concern you should let hotel know, I didn’t hear any noise though from the adjoining room door or street noise, it’s was very peaceful and quiet

Breakfast was decent, executive lounge has very limited snack options but was okay

I went outside for dinner on the 2nd night

I used the onsite bicycle but please get it fixed by someone, the rear wheel bearing inside are goosed making the rear wheel wobble I pointed this out but I guess it won’t get fixed unless I write about it on here, the breaks squeak and need renewed , these are issues that should be fixed asap you don’t want guests riding a bad bicycle, I did have it for 2 hours and I was okay but please get the rear wheel repaired the internal bearings are gone inside the wheel making the wheel rub against the bikes frame

Tv in rooms have no YouTube or Netflix only casting is on them

Pool upstairs is good and you can do a little sunbathing for us brits

Gym is small but it’s ok

I love the hotel and the rooms they are very peaceful and is a nice neighbourhood

Lovely hotel and will come back if in Jakarta ,

Pros:

El hotel es un hermoso edificio antiguo restaurado. El desayuno es muy variado y abundante. Opciones múltiples. Muy buen restaurante y bar/lounge. El tamaño de las habitaciones es amplio.

Cons:

La primera noche no funcionó el aire acondicionado. Por la mañana, nos cambiaron de habitacion (totalmente comprensible y aceptable). Lo desagradable fue que al hacer el cambio, me pidieron un depósito de dinero porque había consumido la noche anterior en el restaurante y bar. Un detalle, a mi gusto, innecesario y de mala gestión. Algunos detalles de mantenimiento que deberían mejorar, como bañaderas con hongos en las gomas, o repintados en el techo visibles. La mampara de la ducha deja salir el agua al piso. La iluminación es mala en algunos sectores de la habitación, y los interruptores están mal colocados. La luz de nuestra terraza no funcionaba. Es un hotel que ostenta excelencia, y por eso creo debe mejorar en los detalles.
