The Beach House

Very nice

It was a great kitchen. You could cook a small meal. The porch was fantastic with a view. Sunrises were wonderful.

The heater was not adequate for the weather!

The place was too primative for us. Especially when we saw thar all hotels in area were really nice, cheaper, and had vacancies. The pictures were much nicer, than actual property. Was disappointed and couldn't get any reimbursement. We left a day early and ate the cost.

Charming beachfront little cabin. Perfect for a fall getaway with kids. Kitchen was clean and very well stocked. Front porch was very cozy with comfortable rocking chairs to watch the ferries and my kids playing in the lake or on the sand. Beds were comfortable and bunk beds perfect for kids. Property manager explained the heating/cooling unit well so we kept it at a comfortable temp for warm days and cool nights. The bunk bed linens were a little discolored when we arrived but the manager immediately replaced with brand new linens when pointed out. There were an over abundance of towels to use which was quite helpful. Definitely would come back!

Cabins are old on the outside but completly new on the inside. Loved that we steped out our front door and were on the beach.Wished that the weather was better so that we could have a fire on the beach.

The cabin was really cute, very clean. The bed was comfortable. Very nice guy at the front desk.

The rooms aren't anything fancy, but that's why the price is more reasonable. They are clean (thanks Daneika! you did great), comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful, which made for an enjoyable stay.

Heater hard to get adjusted was either too hot or too cold

I rented this as a birthday gift for my daughter and her bf of 6 years. They had a wonderful experience!! The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. They want to go back and take me with them because they enjoyed themselves so much.

Cabins are very dated. Old carpet old furniture. Felt like chairs and tables were going to break. Bathroom door was paneling with a hook for a lock. We could have have paid almost half and stayed someplace better. Nice to have beach access but just about every hotel has beach access. Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were clean but BERY dated. Falling apart.

Nice old cabins. Clean, good service, close to beach.

We were very pleased with our cottage, and so was my father-in-law who had the one next door. We wished we'd been able to stay for more than one night so as to experience all that the Beach House had to offer, as well as the surrounding area. My only complaint (which I communicated to the manager on staff - who was very helpful) was that they didn't have any electrical outlets easily accessible except in the bathroom and kitchen areas. The only other outlets were for lamps over the beds, and the outlets were behind the beds and not accessible. Not being able to plug our phones in near the bed or my computer in when I needed to check my emails was frustrating.

Staff was friendly and easy check in. Cabins are clean and comfortable. Nice beach if you want to have a fire or swim. Easy to get on the Mackinac ferry if staying here
