Perfect place. Location location. Next to Model bakery. Next to wine trolley pick up. Everything is within walking distance. Very ckean. Great rooms. Easy parking.

Night in a caboose

Its a don't check-in in person. You receive a text when the unique experience. We stayed in the caboose. It big enough, quiet, and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens. Everything was very clean. Also, the location is great!
Note: you do not check-in in person. You receive a text when your railcar is ready, with a code to open the door and a phone # if you need assistance. As we had no problems, we found this to be very easy.

More outside noise than was expected. We had room three, which was next to the coffee shop and activities. Started there about 5 o’clock every morning.

Pros:

Great location. Cozy room with enough space for us and our portable crib. Unique idea of the rail cars as room. Would definitely stay here again. Walking distance to great restaurants. If you are a light sleeper you might hear the hot air balloons being filled and lifted at around 530-6 am. Very cool to look at though!

I liked the nice clean room and bathroom. The a/c in the room was noisy though. Within easy walking distance to many restaurants and nice area to take a stroll outside.

Very well placed quaint hotel in the heart of Yountville. The train car rooms are authentic and cosy. We saw hot air balloons being filled and flown away early in the morning from the carpark near the hotel!
