Convenient to walking around Paris and to the train and bus systems. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Decently sized rooms. Decent breakfast with long service hours.

Great location to get to all attractions via metro…friendly staff

The staff was lovely. However the hallways were dirty and the shower was cold. I tried to shower the evening i arrived and the next day and both were barely luke warm. I literally ended up using the kettle to boil water and take a bucket bath with my mug. I was only there one night in transit and would not stay there again. The room seemed a lot cleaner than the hallways but right as I walked in the room I saw a random lipgloss under the edge of the bed. The bed itself was fine and the location convenient .

The staff were very helpful. The beds were super comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast. The only negative was that our room was close to the main road and it was very noisy during the night. Also the shower did not have any hot or warm water. Would recommend for a one night stay if you are traveling by train as the Gare du Nord was only 5 minutes away.

Aside from almost getting stuck in a tiny elevator, we were positively surprised by our stay at Résidence Avalon. We had a studio (with a microwave + fridge - although it unfortunately didn't have a freezer compartment), which was more spacious than expected, the bed was comfortable and the furniture as depicted. Our room was facing an inner courtyard and was fairly quiet. Internet was not great (weak signal) in our part of the building, though. Aside from that, the (older) building is super close to Gare du Nord and the breakfast was pretty good for French standards. Plenty of choices. Notice that there are at least 3 (or 4?) hotels with "Residence" branding in this block.

Insonorisation très médiocre et, contrairement à ce qui était annoncé, il n'y avait pas de bureau. Pas pratique pour un séjour professionnel.

Very dated, hotel and rooms need a lot of work, noisy at night time, good for connection to transport links and room was clean but dilapidated the hotel does not look like the photos, would not stay here again.

Twin room small, bathroom large. Clean, firm but comfortable beds. Desk staff very helpful. Able to store luggage in secure room at beginning and end of trip. Tiny elevator worked. Breakfast was worth small cost. Convenient to train and metro stations, which also means homeless people. Aldi / grocery, convenience stores and pharmacy nearby.

Schön, wie auf den Bildern! Wir hatten ein Studio im hinteren Teil des Hotels (also nicht zur Straße raus) so war das Zimmer sehr ruhig. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Zimmer war wirklich sauber. Lage an sich super, aber nachts sind wir nicht Richtung Barbès/Bvd Magenta unterwegs gewesen, sondern haben lieber ein Taxi genommen, da die Gegend dann etwas dubios ist.

La Chambre bien décorée et grande douche sont un plus, la literie est de bonne qualité mais l’insonorisation est terrible on a l’impression que les voisins sont dans votre chambre … et l’état du lobby n’est vraiment pas terrible, l’équipe est agréable

It’s an older quaint hotel that works very well. We needed something convenient and this hotel was just that. Easy in, easy out. Close to metro and train station. Very good breakfast.

We booked a studio room for an overnight stay which gave more space. Clean white sheets and towels and good shower. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of good cold food. Convenient location for Gard du Nord. Good restaurant close by.

I had a great experience here. It's my 3rd time to stay here. The staff is lovely, the rooms are clean, the price is reasonable, and the location is so close to the train station.

Excellent location next to Gare du Nord

Personale molto gentile, ampia camera per gli standard di Parigi, letto comodissimo e ambiente silenzioso. La comodità di stare vicino a Gare du Nord in un ambiente comunque molto gradevole e da poco rinnovato! Consigliatissimo!

Réservation effectuée par hasard, pensant réserver dans un autre hôtel adjacent portant quasi le même nom et où j’avais déjà séjourné. Un peu déçue, donc: les murs de la chambre suintent d’humidité après la douche et le panneau indiquant que l’ascenseur est HS devrait être enlevé puisque l’ascenseur fonctionne (signalé mais panneau toujours en place à notre départ…)
