To the Customer Relations Team,
I am writing to formally lodge a grievance regarding my stay on Saturday, 25/04/26.
The accommodation provided was wholly unfit for habitation and constituted a serious breach of Health and Safety standards.
Details of the Breach:
Presence of Mould: The room was severely affected by damp and visible mould growth.
This created an unsafe environment, particularly for my young son.
Tobacco Contamination: There was a heavy, nauseating smell of stale tobacco smoke, suggesting the room had not been properly cleaned or that smoking policies were not enforced.
Management Failure: I raised these issues immediately with the Duty Manager. While he acknowledged the problems, he stated that because the hotel was fully booked, no alternative room could be offered.
We were essentially forced to sleep in a hazardous environment.
Consequences & Impact:
As a direct result of the damp and mouldy conditions, both my son and I have suffered significant respiratory distress and allergic reactions. My son has been unwell with a heavy cold/flu and has subsequently had to take authorised absence from school to recover. This has caused significant distress and disruption to his education.
Resolution Required:
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. Providing a mould-infested room is a failure of this duty. I am requesting a full refund of the booking fee.
I have retained photographic evidence of the mould and am prepared to escalate this matter to the Environmental Health Department and Trading Standards should a satisfactory resolution not be reached promptly.

Had quite comfortable stay in this hotel for 3 nights. A special shoutout for Mr. Saif Kader, who was very cordial, friendly and helpful throughout, did great customer service. Thanks Saif!
The only positive thing is the location. The hotel is close to an U-Bahn station, although the U-Bahn was not working for two days during our stay. There is also a bus stop and a supermarket nearby.
We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Our room was located in the basement with only two small roof windows, which made it feel dark and uncomfortable. During the first night, we could hear something scratching inside the ceiling, possibly a mouse, which made it impossible to relax or sleep properly.
The breakfast was terrible with almost no variety at all — literally just toast bread that looked like it could last until 2028 and some eggs. Definitely not what you would expect from a hotel breakfast.
To make things worse, two employees even tried to claim that we had not paid for the breakfast, which was both embarrassing and unprofessional.
Room service was also very poor. There was no proper room cleaning during our stay. Instead, late in the afternoon, around 5 PM, someone would just knock on the door and ask if we needed towels or toilet paper.
The staff were great and the room was everything I could ask for, very clean and well fitted for my needs. The location was great too.

- very nice staff at the reception
- near the tube (the trains got canceled when I visited though)
- comfortable bed and pillow but noisy from the road and the window is thin - not an option for light sleepers
- noise from the road all night long
- some hair in the bathroom, but the room was clean overall
The staff was not helpful and not professional.
I received a charge for the hotel fee from a company claiming to be their sister hotel. Since I was expecting the charge to come from Best Western, I suspected it might be fraudulent and contacted them. However, they told me that charges would never appear under any name other than Best Western.
Because I believed there was a risk of fraud, I also consulted with my credit card company and temporarily suspended my credit card. Then, one week later, I received a message stating only that the charge would be made under the sister company’s name.
I inquired again about the previous message stating that there would be no charges under a sister company’s name, but I have received no response. I also informed them that I had to suspend my credit card because of this issue, yet I have received no reply regarding that either.
They said they did not have a key. I needed to ask them every time I went out and came back. I’ve never had such experience in a hotel.
Great staff, very nice and lovely people. Underground station was in front of the hotel, we just had to cross the street to reach it! Services met expectations for the price. The breakfast was good and offered a nice variety. However, as an Italian who actually enjoys American coffee, I have to say the coffee was not very good. Aside from that, I was super satisfied with my stay and would happily come back!
