Motel 6-Palm Springs, CA - Downtown

They could use a little bit of updating, especially the bathrooms

The cheapest, basic rooms have no extras at all.
I think all the rooms should have a fridge and coffee/ tea making facilities.

Beds were small and room felt very tight and small. There was also a huge stain in the bath tub.
The tv didn’t work, the elevators didn’t work either

Non smoking room was obviously smoked in (I have allergies to cigarette smoke). Called and asked for an extra pillow (only two very small pillows on queen sized bed (none available). Called the front desk to ask for a late checkout (after 11 am. They gave us until 11:30). Housekeeping knocked on the door 10:40. We informed them politely that we had a late checkout at 11:30. Housekeeping came back at 10:50. This time I was not so polite. Called the front desk and asked to speak with the manager. I was told I would need to come to the front desk. I got dressed and went to the front desk and as I was speaking to the manager , Hector Bacerra, he kept interrupting me to the point where I asked him to please write down his name and the address for the corporate office. He refused. I went back to the room and immediately packed my belongings in my car and left. This is not all that went wrong. These are just the highlights. Never have I been treated in such a churlish manner by any one in a service position. I have worked in the service industry and this is not acceptable

I didn’t like I had to cancel my second night because the motel room was very clean and comfortable. But not outside and I was on the very back of motel far from reception.

didn't like occasional noise from the music of the cars passing by with loud bass-filled music but that's a given when you are facing a busy street - with headphones or turning my tv up - that pretty much helps eliminate a bit of that & then the only other thing I could say was the residents above me having a service dog (moved around a lot) - had to take some getting used to. lol.

I have stayed here before unfortunately the room that I got assigned this time seemed like the AC was not fixed or was having issues. It wouldn’t get colder than 78° so the room was always just room temperature but it’s better than that 100+ degrees it was outside. Room 121

I would’ve requested a new room, but as I was mostly out and about with most of my friends, I typically just use the room to sleep. The AC condenser that’s above the sink area in the bathroom also was leaking water. I’m assuming this was the issue and why the room would not get colder.

the shower didn't work. Long black hairs in tub and on bed. Smelled like old cigarettes.

The Hotel is full of drug addicts and really Shady people plus the outside needs a deep cleansing
