Location, location, location! View for Night of Lights was fantastic. Staff very pleasant and responsive. Enjoyed the breakfast & happy hour. Room adequate. Would stay here again.
Fantastic place to stay. Friendly staff. Clean room and the view was beautiful from the patio. Would definitely recommend.
Great location, clean room and staff was very friendly. The only issue we had was being woken at 4am by drunk guests in the room next to us screaming and slamming doors.
The view was amazing , bed and pillows super comfortable. Do not skip the free breakfast was delicious !! Staff super nice .
The check in and check out super easy
This place is amazing! We stay here every year and it's always great. Staff are so professional and kind. Atmosphere is breathtaking! Included breakfast is so tasty every morning. See you next year. Thanks for great stay.
It was a great location. Love the view from our room the morning breakfast was great. Hotel staff were friendly. We got there early on our check-in day, but was not Able to check in they said until four, but we were able to leave the car and we walked across the Lions bridge, and enjoyed our day
Expectations were high, good ratings and excellent standards; for instance, we weren’t going to be allowed to smoke, smuggle in a cat nor fish from our room.
The reality was somewhat different, being confronted by a long line of chalet type doors that wouldn’t look out of place in a British nineteen fifties holiday camp. An unkempt swimming pool was located in the car park and the general air of decay was exemplified by the rotting wooden fascia boards being replaced.
We were early but thought it necessary to introduce ourselves. We were met by an elderly, grumpy woman who aggressively wanted to know what we wanted. Returning in the afternoon we completed the check in and were given the card to our cubicle; it was facing the street and away from the bay frontage so there was going to be no fishing for us. The holiday camp theme continued inside; a small room, basic furniture and a dated shower room with peeling paint on the walls and ceiling. The guest brochure listed all the amenities that the “hotel” had to offer, which overwhelmingly consisted of local facilities. We did learn that a “gourmet” breakfast was included in the room rate, but on discovering that it was to be served on paper plates my wife elected for Starbucks instead.
It was a relief to check out before the dawn, never to return.
Everyone and everything was excellent in every sense of the word. A beautiful and well kept 1950's motel to stay while visiting St. Augustine.
The room was clean and provided all that was required. The water pressure on the shower was not great. Breakfast was good and the location was excellent.
This is my second time at this hotel because It is very quite, conveniently located, and its staff is very friendly among the enjoyable beautiful view.
My wife and I absolutely loved the Edgewater’s charm, the view, and the very comfy bed! We came for the Night of Lights and loved the convenient location just a short walk over the bridge to downtown. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay more than one night! Will definitely be back in the future!
We chose the property for it’s convenience and views and that delivered!
WiFi was horrible, AC struggled to keep temperatures cool, Property Management was unfriendly and slightly rude - comes with the older generation
Lovely facility made even more so by very friendly staff. Great location, great view, and breakfast and social hour were first rate. This will be our first choice everytime we travel to St. Augustine.
View was great, room was good, however, maid was sick so no service during our stay. Happy hour was wonderful as met very nice couples. Breakfast was good. Some construction during our stay which was disappointing. Sue was exceptional in welcoming us and others. Our future visits will be on her days. We will go back.
Front desk clerk was very welcoming. Room was adequate. Hotel is older so not expecting a Hilton experience. Very satisfied and will return.
Very Clean and great location. It was a nice walk across the bridge. Close enough for a great view but far enough away for the congestion and noise on Saturday night. Ronnie was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Planning on coming back in the future.
We did a quick trip to see Night of Lights. The view from our balcony was amazing. The staff could not be any nicer! The happy hour was festive and gave us a chance to relax before we headed over the bridge to walk through the town. I would highly recommend!!!
The room is clean, the breakfast was delicious and the room on the water is awesome! I can't say enough about how much we love this place! Right at the bottom of the Lion's Gate Bridge so you can walk over it and into downtown. We come every year and will be back next year!
The staff was friendly and welcoming! The view in the breakfast area is breathtaking! It’s a quick walk over the bridge so very convenient! Delicious home cooked breakfast! Nice seating area by the water to watch the boats and dolphins!🐬 We missed the complimentary wine and cheese but what a nice touch! The reason I took away a star was the rooms had an unpleasant smell, the paint was peeling and the ceiling in the bathroom was stained and falling apart. They need some upkeep!
Wonderful hotel-very clean, wonderful mattress, nice breakfast with an awesome view, exceptional views of Saint Augustine off our deck right on the water. Loved sitting outside, watching the drawbridge and the boats go by. Incredible view of the nights of lights. Only criticism is that their Wi-Fi is weak so I was unable to do anything on my laptop.(but maybe that was a good thing.). Would definitely return! Highly recommend!!!
