Jetwing Yala

Outstanding hotel! Loved everything about it. We were visiting for 1 night to do the safari (which was also fab) but wished we stayed another night just to chillax!! Was nicely surprised that their dining prices were no more expensive (in fact cheaper in some cases) than other equivalent properties in Sri Lanka given the remoteness & no other options! Food & staff were great. Lovely pool. Highly recommend.

The location was excellent being near the Yalanational park , but I did not like the appearance nor the rooms of the property. The charge was high for such a basic type of property

Wonderful stay

The room is spacious and clean. Food is good. Breakfast offers a wide variety, and each item is clearly explained. The safari is well organized! The swimming size is a delight, especially if you enjoy swimming a good distance. Beautifully landscaped near the ocean. The beach is beautiful with many dunes!

Rooms, food and staff were excellent

Couldn’t fall a thing, the food, staff, room, people and pool were incredible. 100% only ever staying at a Jetwing property ever again.

There's a big opening in the bathroom ceiling where a wild animal can come in. They need to install some kind of mesh or cover it. A leopard can easily climb in.

This is a beautiful property. We loved our room, verandah and open air shower. The bar and buffet dining was excellent. Staff was extremely courteous and professional. During our stay there it rained and we had rooms furthest from the lobby area. Parts of the walk to our room were unprotected from the rain and the walkways were quite wet and slippery despite attempts by the staff to mop. Further protection from adverse weather conditions would be appreciated. Overall, loved our stay at this property and would highly recommend to others.

Great stay at Jetwing
From the start the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Easy check in and shown to our beach view room. Room was very clean and spacious. Large shower room and deck area were great.
Extensive food options avaialble and all that we had were very tasty.
Other facilities like pool and gym appeared inviting, although we only had 2 nights and so were unable to make use, as we had trips planned.
Had a great stay and would recommend.

The hotel is spacious and very clean. The buffet was ok but not worth the price. We found great food at the a la carte restaurant fir half the price. The pool is excellent for lap swimmers. At night occasionally elephants come to the pool and other animals. Lots and lots of monkeys but they did not bother us at all.

Had a very nice stay and was pleased overall. However room was dusty and needed a good clean. Various bits of the place beed a good tidy up. Not sure its 5* now. It definitely was when it opened 10 years ago

As anticipated, terrific place to stay and enjoy Yala NP. All excellent and will return.

Hotel is a little tired but functional. Good base for a safari with a pleasant beach.

Amazing n nice

Friendly staff and beautiful location.

The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The food is very good with an extensive breakfast buffet, cooked by very friendly chefs to order. They will pack up a picnic if you’re going into the Park early. The swimming pool is desperately in need of repair as there are many missing tiles and the flagstones around it wobble when walked on.

We absolutely loved the hotel and the ambience, especially how it's blended into the nature. It's lovely to see the monkeys, birds, lizards running around. We took the safari the hotel arranged and it was amazing. However, the dinner buffet was disappointing and overpriced. For the second evening we had to drive out for 30 minutes to the nearby town Tissa to eat out. The service is lacking and it's not 5-star hotel standard. The staff were more friendly to the locals than foreigners. We felt slight judgement from them too. They weren't keen to offer help or service. We had to ask and keep asking. Although for what we asked we got the service needed. Overall we are happy with the stay.

The place is so lovely with a very nice pool and beach access. So much potential and so near the safari. However, I had some mishaps which might be isolated to me. The porters accidentally broke my Samsonite luggage handle, no towels in the room and called for ice twice but wasn't sent. Other than these, I would recommend them highly. Oh yes, toilet smelt slightly mouldy.

Room was comfortable, however the bathrooms were not air conditioned as they were open to the air, which made them quite hot during the day. Food selection was reasonable and the chef was nice and very careful to accommodate my spouse’s dietary restrictions (food allergy). Staff was professional and very nice, which was our experience across all resorts in Sri Lanka. Amazing service by super nice people!
