The staff were very nice and the location was excellent for what we needed
We first went into the “garden chalet” which was literally a room in the garden! In that room, the walls were all damaged, there were 2 double beds and one single “camp bed” which collapsed at any point we went near it! We then tried to have showers, which was filthy! The shower tray was broken to the point it resembled a bath once we had finished the shower, after another 1 or 2 the bathroom floor also flooded!
At this point we decided to request another room if available! This is where I have no issue, the staff were really very nice and approachable! That’s honestly where the compliments end! We were shown another room and it all seemed fine, while collecting our belongings to move room we also noticed ants everywhere! Good thing we were moving, right?
Wrong, we got into the “new” room, it was clear it hadn’t seen a Hoover in a very long time, that should have prepared us for what was to come, after what had been a long day we returned to the room, thew back the covers, only to find that the sheets on the single bed resembled a barbers floor! I have attached pictures to show absolutely no exaggeration!
Couple that with the fact there was an empty bottle of vodka and a can of cider left by the previous?? Guests!
We slept there, got up as soon as we could and checked out!
The shower was good
The bed was bad
Good location
No soap, faulty lights, uncomfortable bed, thin small duvet, non-functional kettle, hotel reception issues, non private door (glass panels)
Perfect place to stay prior to an early Euro star.
The concierge was friendly and helpful and the room perfect for our needs.
We couldn't find it easily, as it had a different name on the plaque.
De locatie en vriendelijk personeel
De kamer was KLEIN. Plek voor een bed, that's it. Het bed lag wel goed. Er waren problemen met de verwarming, 1 nacht was het heel warm, en de nacht erna niet. De badkamer is ook klein, het water uit de kraan rook vies...
Location was perfect for us. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The hotel was under refurbishment at the time of our stay - which was definitely needed. We weren't warned before arrival which was a bit disappointing. None of the communal areas were in use. Im sure it will be a lovely hotel again once the refurbishment is complete
Location and staff , liked the quirkiness of the interior online but looked shabby on arrival
No signage on door so was very difficult to find I walked around square two times . There was rubbish piled up near the entrance .
Room was grubby, bathroom was filthy, reported it and nothing done - not cleaned, no offer of refund and not offered another room
Great location for what I needed and the gent that welcomed me was really nice and helpful.
No towels provided in the room the table in there was in bad condition and not something I would expect in a room. The steps to my room as you had to go outside to get to it was steep and quite dangerous. The lights in my room one kept flickering there was no lamp and the whole experience going up to the room was not really presentable.
One other thing I would like to comment on the man helping me to my room was been shouted at over the phone telling him to buck his ideas up or he will have to be let go. 1 I shouldn’t really be hearing that and 2 the lad did his real best and didn’t deserve to be spoken to like that maybe give proper training also be a little more organised so he can forfill his job.
Not a hotel I will be staying in again I’m afraid things there need to change in my opinion .
The bed was insanely comfortable, so much better than we thought it would be. The decor was also very fun.
I mini fridge would’ve been nice, to keep our bottle of water cool over night.
Very close to Kings Cross/St Pancras. Convenient for the Eurostar.
The sinks and taps/shower were significantly rusty. The layout of the room made the space feel smaller.
Central location
Misleading photos, small room not a suite
No elevator, the stairs are too narrow
