A deeply disappointing and unsafe experience that forced my family to leave early and lose a paid night.

Nothing. Unfortunately, there was nothing about this property that we felt comfortable praising.

Cons:

Our experience at this Motel 6 was extremely disappointing and concerning. We were traveling with our family, including our daughter who has allergies, and our pets. We specifically requested a non-smoking room.

When we arrived for check-in, we immediately noticed that the front desk employee was completely behind a glass barrier, which made us feel uncomfortable and concerned about the environment.

The first room we were given had a very strong cigarette smell, even though we had specifically requested a non-smoking room. The bedspread was full of holes that appeared to be cigarette burns, and we also noticed insects in the room.

Because of the condition of the room, my daughter and I went back to the car with our pets while my husband went to the front desk to ask for another room or to cancel the stay. We arrived around 10 p.m., so we had already lost most of the evening.

After some time, a security guard accompanied my husband to another room. The second room still had a cigarette smell, although it was not as strong. When the security guard opened the door, he asked if the room was acceptable. I did not feel comfortable at that moment and said it was okay, but once we started checking the room carefully, we found even more problems.

Some of the lights did not work, and the security guard himself acknowledged that some of the lights were not working. When we used our phone flashlight to inspect the room, we found dirty bedding, holes in the blankets that appeared to be cigarette burns, dirt in the bathroom, and what appeared to be cigarette burns in the bathroom as well.

The worst part was the presence of insects, including a very large spider inside the room. Our cats were actually running after the spider. We did not feel that the room was clean or safe for our family or our pets.

We eventually left to get food and returned later, but we were unable to properly sleep that night.

Pros:

The staff from the front desk are very helpful and friendly the check in process was smooth.

Cons:

I thought it was going to be good since reading some reviews where positive. But unfortunately wasn't what was expected I have booked a non smoking room since have littles but once opened it and walked in smelled so bad. And then 1-3am you can hear people banging on the door and them just standing outside talking and. Some guy just had his room open and just felt like was being watched.
