I've stayed in other hilton garden inn's and this one absolutely did not meet my expectations.
Pros:

Room itself was fine. Shower was fine, bed was fine. Most things were acceptable.

Cons:

I was given a key to a room that someone else was occupying originally. As a woman traveling alone, this was a scary experience and did not make me feel safe in the hotel the rest of the time. I was given a different room. No accomodations or anything else were offered to me for, what I feel, is a huge mistake on their part.
The elevators didn't work; the fridge in my room didn't work; towels were taken from my room and not replaced (bath mat and washcloth).

The hotel was also under major construction, which is fine, I've stayed in hotels under construction before - but it was not mentioned in the booking, and it was EXTREMELY bothersome, as the construction was happening on my floor in the rooms entirely surrounding mine. The booking should have been labeled clearly that the hotel was under construction, and there should have been a room discount due to that.

The price was decent

Cons:

Unfortunately the construction ruined the stay. Especially waiting for the elevator. Waited 10/15 min but then the elevator was full, my party of 4 couldn't fit. Didn't want to wait another 10/15ish minutes so we took the stairs. Would wait until construction is complete.

We were there to see as much of NYC as we could in 30 hours. It was perfect for our stay.
Pros:

Location was wonderful! All of the midtown attractions were within walking distance and there were two subway stations within two blocks of the hotel.

Cons:

Just construction, but it wasn’t terrible.

Hotel was clean nice people friendly, close to destination i was going. Price was.fair and reasonable

Disappointed
Pros:

I was literally disappointed with the renovation ongoing there which I was not informed by booking.com
If I knew I wouldn’t prefer to go., we waited minutes for elevator. Additionally bad looking of entrance made me unhappy. I was unhappy also in name of my guests. My daughter and son in law.

Cons:

Room was so uncomfortable. Too small to move. Renovation also made us unhappy

Stay somewhere else!
Pros:

Stay somewhere else for the price. Lobby is under construction and a disaster. Only one elevator works so you have to wait 5-10min each time. Elevator key card does not work so anyone can go up to any floor. Really really poor.

Parking was expensive but it is the city. I did not like the construction by the front because that can be a hazard.
