Best place if your company pays for your accommodations
Pros:

Of all the hotel breakfasts I've had worldwide, this one is by far the best.
Breakfast isn't buffet-style but a la carte. I tried almost everything and it was absolutely delicious.

The location is perfect for accessing Fifth Avenue and Times Square.
The suites are absurdly expensive but considering the location it's understandable.

Five stars (just)
Pros:

Our stay did not get off to the best of starts. There was no one to help us get six bags out of the taxi when we arrived, so we did that ourselves. And then there was a long queue to check in, with only two desks open. Eventually, a third desk was opened.

However, it was the week before Christmas, and New York was rammed!

Luckily, things picked up after that. The room was amazingly good. Large and well laid out, it had all the amenities that you could want, huge amounts of carefully thought out storage space, a very large and comfortable bed, a way to operate all the lights from beside the bed, electrical sockets at table height on the bedside table ... and one of the best showers that I have ever had in a hotel room! I don't remember the room number but we were on the 21st floor.

The room was beautifully cleaned and tidied every morning, and the staff were all welcoming and friendly.

The hotel is very nicely located, and we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to see and do. (It's one of the nice things about NYC, unlike many American cities, in that you can walk, should you want to.)

A gorgeous Park Hyatt NY stay!
Pros:

I love staying at Park Hyatts, as an Explorist, and I also had a Guest of Honor award for this visit. Justina was so kind and helpful leading into our trip. My teen daughter and I came in for a long weekend and was upgraded to a beautiful suite and had chocolates/treats inside waiting for us! The room was so lovely and spacious. Heated bathroom floor, TV in the mirror… my daughter was loving the luxurious stay! The location cannot be beat, either!

Breakfast was good! The hostess to the restaurant one day (older lady with glasses) and our server both mornings (bald gentleman with glasses) were not very pleasant to be around but everyone else was so kind and warm. The door men always have on a smile and were very helpful with getting us the hotel car for close by trips.

A wonderful stay and we will be back on our next NYC visit!

Best Hotel Location in NY
Pros:

My husband, baby girl (1 year old) and I visited the Park Hyatt New York for the kick off to my 38th birthday celebration. The location was excellent, right off of Central Park, close to the Rockefeller Center and other popular shopping areas. Great views with large expansive windows. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a junior suite that was spacious and the bathroom was fabulous. We especially enjoyed the rainfall shower and the bidet. The vibe was spot on, quiet luxury for sure.

Lot of Maintenance Issues and Passing Along Inconveniences to Customers
Pros:

The hotel garage broke so we were unable to get our car out at checkout. The hotel did not call us ahead so our bags were brought down and we were told to just take a long lunch, so we went to lunch and 2 hours went by with no phone call or update. Eventually I called and they called us back to give us an update and to offer us a credit, but it did not cover the added expenses which I felt should have been completely covered for the inconvenience. This was in addition to the spa sauna not being available for use and the drain not closing properly in the bathtub. Overall, I would NOT recommend staying here in January as they have a whole bunch of maintenance items but they don't tell anyone that and just expect to charge you the normal rates for all the luxury amenities that you are not able to fully use.

Park Hyatt New York - excellent 5 star hotel
Pros:

The Park Hyatt New York is an excellent 5 star hotel. We travel to NYC regularly and this is the first time we stayed at the Park Hyatt New York. The suite was amazing, with views of Central Park, well furnished rooms, and 1 1/2 baths with high quality bath products. It was such a treat we decided to extend our stay to 6 nights. The staff went above and beyond to help us, excellent room service (deliveries, requests), and provide pointers to the area. Looking forward to coming back soon.

2025 It's A ***Wonderful*** Life: SO GRATEFUL !!
Pros:

I mean...to stay at The Park during Christmas, has always been a DREAM of mine. I'm just a regular girl from Detroit. My husband on the other hand is a Hyatt "globalist" guy and goes business in NYC and so sometimes I get perks too. Holy smokes. This staff took care of us. Thank you thank you thank you. You made my Christmas come true. Forget 2nd row Palace of Versailles and yes Kristen Chenoweth is the bomb. You are better than the Rockettes and Saks- and they filed for bankruptcy anyway. Xoxo. See you soon!!!!!

Beautiful Hotel
Pros:

We had a wonderful weekend stay. The staff was very nice and accommodating, allowing us to check in at around 2 pm. The room is meticulously appointed, and the public areas are beautifully done. My one negative comment is the exorbitant price of the restaurant. I found it distasteful no pun intended, to be charged so much for simple menu items. Breakfast of cereal and toast is close to $40. I felt a little fleeced.

Park Hyatt
Pros:

Fantastic luxury hotel the rooms are big. The staff is very professional. Location just off Central Park is absolutely premium for doing tourism in New York City. The hotel itself is a little catered to families, but quiet and very comfortable.

Note that there is no lounge. This is probably the most basic Park Hyatt property that I have visited, but it is still a very nice hotel.

Quite the Gem!
Pros:

So many wonderful aspects of our weekend stay here: the security and quiet of the location are appreciated, the staff is warm and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and very well appointed and the Living Room restaurant is exceptional. A very special thank you to Rudy and Adrian who navigated our food allergy issues with care and finesse, never making us feel like we were a bother. Their smiling faces and quiet professionalism is such an asset! We came in for a respite and left feeling refreshed and motivated! Happy to hear that the gym facilities are being updated: this was our only note to improvement. The Peleton was old and did not work well, the floor mats for yoga and Pilates were tired and frayed, and the LLL mirror is outdated for actual use--although having a mirror in the space was good for workout feedback. Keep up the superb work of hospitality--we will be back!

Park Hyatt NYC: Losing Luster
Pros:

I live in NYC and occasionally book weekend staycations around town, either for just my wife and me or for us and our kids. We’ve done the Park Hyatt twice, most recently in January 2026. This is a nice hotel with good guest rooms, beautiful bathrooms, and a terrific (by NYC standards) two-lane lap pool and gym. But unfortunately, the value at >$1,000 or 35,000 World of Hyatt points per night is just not there anymore for me. There is a single hotel restaurant, the Living Room. The food is fine, but mostly forgettable and not inspiring (and quite expensive - $16 for a La Colombe cold brew coffee was an absolute insult). The service was nothing special - in fact, I struggled to flag down waitstaff to order our entrees, and again when I wanted to order coffee and dessert.

You may ask: Why would you eat at the hotel when you’re in the middle of NYC? And that’s a superb question, because at this hotel, I encourage you not to. I resorted to taking one kid there while my other kids swam in the pool with my wife. Had I not been so lazy, I would’ve had a far superior meal at around the same price at Quality Bistro nearby.

My advice: If you want to spend around the same amount in cash per night, I’ve stayed at the Four Seasons Downtown and far prefer that hotel (it also has a pool). If you’re using World of Hyatt points, consider cheaper per night rates at the Andaz instead.

Park Hyatt - luxury: excellent!
Pros:

Courteous staff, room, pool and fitness areas were clean and welcoming. Hotel location was convenient to many highlights in NYC.
Acknowledgement of our anniversary with a hand written note was a special touch. They know how to treat people with respect and provide helpfulness.

First Park Hyatt Stay - Best Hyatt Stay so Far as a Hyatt Globalist
Pros:

This is my family's first time staying at a Park Hyatt. We rented a residential suite with an attached room with two double beds on the 20th floor for a family of 4. It was like having a large apartment in the heart of the theater district just a 5-10 minute walk to Central Park and maybe a 15 minute walk at most to Times Square. We had 2 and a half baths with this setup which was so convenient. Before this, I might have said our stay in Paris at the Hyatt Madeleine was our favorite Hyatt stay, but I think the Park Hyatt New York edges it out, at least with my young daughters. It was VERY family friendly, but also had the sophistication and attention to detail that a business traveler or couple without kids would appreciate. The staff was great. The water pressure was awesome. We had such a nice stay here, my wife and I are thinking of going back just the two of us in a few months. Great job Park Hyatt. I would recommend you call the setup we had "the family residential suite" or something similar because it was so convenient for a family to rent this setup in New York. Chloe at the front desk helped me set it up so we were able to rent the rooms in this configuration and it made our trip so so much better. Thanks Chloe!

Flawless family stay
Pros:

We recently stayed five nights at the Park Hyatt New York over New Year’s Eve, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for our very first family trip to NYC. Traveling with my husband and our two kids, we felt welcomed from the moment we began planning our stay. The warmth and care started even before arrival and continued throughout, from the festive holiday candy cart to the consistently exceptional service. The location was perfect, right across from Carnegie Hall, walking distance to 5th avenue, Time Square and Central Park.
Every member of the team was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind whether at check-in, housekeeping, room service was delicious and quick, or the pool (shoutout to the nicest pool attendants and lifeguards). The level of hospitality made us feel completely at home during a very special time of year. A special thank you to Laurent and Arantza for going above and beyond to make our stay so memorable.
The Park Hyatt New York exceeded all our expectations, and we cannot wait to return. Highly recommended for families looking for a luxurious yet welcoming experience in the heart of the city.

Unbeatable location and hard product, but operations struggled
Pros:

Stayed recently as a Globalist. The location is perfect, right next to Carnegie Hall. The lobby is tight, but that’s understandable for the core Manhattan location. Valet was super convenient and the Concierge team did an excellent job.

The rooms were clean and the hard product is still great, but the service execution was off this time. We had two rooms and neither was ready until 5 PM. We didn't expect early check-in, but waiting that late forced us to change our plans. Also surprised there were no welcome amenities. It’s rare for a Park Hyatt to skip that for Globalists, especially seeing other reviews posting theirs. We also had a maintenance issue in one of the bathrooms.

Great property, but they need to tighten up the operations to match the price point.

Bad service even for a usd 3500/night suite room
Pros:

For a suite room which cost usd 3500 per night, I found park hyatt new york to be severly lacking in their services.

To begin with, we had requested an extra bed upon making the booking to which they replied “ok no problem”. When we checked into our suite, we did not see an extra bed. It took us 2 phone calls and a visit to the front desk to get this issue rectified. No apology was issued.

To make matters worse, during our stay, requests for anything from housekeeping (including amenities such as tooth brush and shaving kit) took at least 15 minutes. This is the slowest service among all other 5 star hotels that we have stayed around the world.

My wife and 2 kids are extremely dissatisfied with Park hyatt. This is their crown jewel among the hyatt franchises and their overall services was no where near our expectations. We have stayed at several other park hyatts and we were always satisfied.

There were other small issues during our stay which worsened the experience further.

I hope management notice and provide better training to the staffs at this hotel to avoid many other dissapointments.
