Babylon Gardens Apart Hotel

Resepsiyonda bizimle ilgilenen hanımefendi çok tatlı ve güler yüzlüydü. İlgisi için teşekkür ederiz. Apart tam olarak görsellerdeki gibiydi. Temizliği açısından bir sorun yaşamadık. Mutfakta bulunan malzemeler biraz yetersizdi. Bir odada klima vardı ama kapıları açınca klima her odayı yeterince soğutuyordu. Her iki havuzda çok sakindi. Hatta sadece biz kullandık diyebilirim. Sanırım yoğunluk durumuna göre değişebilir. Biz sadece bir gece konakladık, çok fazla vakit geçiremedik fakat memnun ayrıldık. Konumu denize biraz uzak fakat biz deniz ihtiyacı bile hissetmedik. Havuzlar temizdi ve çok huzurlu bir ortam olduğu için denizi tercih etmedik. Dağın dibine konumlandırılmış, sadece kuş ve böcek seslerini dinleyerek havuza girdik, akşam balkonumuzda yemek yedik. Otel çalışanlı ile haşır neşir olacak kadar zaman geçirmedik ama genel anlamda otelden memnun ayrıldık. Teşekkür ederiz.

We enjoyed our break at Babylon Gardens. It was good to have an apartment there with a sea view and surrounded by trees. When we arrived it was very busy due to a national holiday but then it was very quiet and peaceful. The pools were good and the grounds nice.
The problem seemed to be that Babylon can't work out if it is a hotel or just apartments. It had a café but it was hardly used at all, and we managed to have a meal there on our first night as the only diners. The apartment we wee in only had a tiny kitchen area with a small cooker top overhanging the sink and limited utensils etc, so it wasn't well set for cooking, but the place wasn't well set for supplying meals either. Also the apartment is supposed to be cleaned once a week but doesn't supply anything for you to do cleaning yourself (apart from a tiny dustpan and brush). After a week no cleaner came and so we had to go and ask for clean linen and for the apartment to be cleaned. We had to ask about 3 times and eventually we stripped the beds and took the dirty linen to the laundry door to let them know we were a bit unhappy. So after 9 days there we did get clean sheets, towels and a quick clean of the place. It's not even as if they were busy.
Anyway we never let these little frustrations stop us enjoying our holiday, but it would be better if the management could work out the service they want to give.
Booking.com said the place had Wifi, but we had to go and sit on the steps by the main gate to pick up a signal.
I think also as we arrived during a national holiday (first 2 days of our holiday) the daily rate we paid for the whole time was somewhat inflated so it didn't feel like great value.

Ceyhan is a fantastic host, helped us in many ways throughout the stay - taxis, transfers, check in just to name a few. The property is situated on a hill with a beautiful sea view. Has two swimming pools, the rooms have an airconditioner in the bedroom, the balcony is another lovely feature to relax and have a glass of Kavaklidere at night. Very close proximity to the town centre and is 10 min walk from the promenade which has been recently renewed. Highly recommend.

Okay. I visit Turkey every Summer and stay in all kinds of places. This has been the most disappointing. I chose it because to the good reviews on Tripadvisor and the very reasonable price. However, it isn't all bad there are some good points.

If you are happy to rough it a little then this is your place. However, if you like just to feel comfortable in accommodation that is relatively well looked after than this isn't your place.

Here are the pros and cons of staying here:

Pros:
* Pools: Two very nice pools - both large (approx 20 metres) and allow you to get a good swim in.
* Gardens: Very nice gardens - many trees and plants that provide shade around the pools (fortunately, as there are no umbrella's)
* Staff: Very nice staff who smile and say hello all the time
* Accommodation: Large accommodation - two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen/sitting room and a large balcony (and a small one off one of the room which in theory would be nice to use if the door would open).
- When we arrived the apartment was very clean
- The fridge worked well.
- There was mosquito netting on the windows and balcony.

Cons:
* Accommodation: These is the big NEGATIVE with this complex. When I entered the apartment I felt like I had gone back in time to the 1950s. Here are the problems:
- There was one air conditioning unit in the bedroom. This does not constitute air-conditioning!!!! All four of us (parents and kids) sat on the bed in the bedroom to watch movies and play games as it was the only cool place in the house (unless you were on the balcony before 8am). We asked for a fan but were told it would get cool in the evening. [To be fair they did send up some watermelon that evening …. but I would have preferred a fan]
- All the furniture (couch and the dining chairs) are in a fabric and style that are decades old. I was nervous to sit on them, in fact it made my skin crawl at the thought of how they were cleaned. We placed a large sheet on the couch to ensure it was clean. [Note: nothing looked dirty …. but the fabric was very worn from decades of use]
- the kitchen was poorly stocked - the children drank their juice from two wine glasses! The back of the cupboards had what seemed to be mould (large black areas). THe cupboards smelled musty and mouldy - we washed all the crockery (there wasn't much) in boiling water before we used it.
- the flooring was tiles in the hall and kitchen which seemed badly scuffed and i was nervous to walk on it in my bare feet. The bedrooms had carpet that seemed to be made from the most rough horsehair type fabric I have ever come across. It felt coarse … like one of those mats that are placed outside the front door of a house.
- the bathroom was the worst. The tiles were different on the wall in several places indicating that some plumbing work had been done and different tiles replaced. It generally felt dank, dull, dreary and depressing.
- Windows and balcony door had a metal frame that made them difficult to operate. The children were unable to open the balcony door to enter and leave.

We stayed at Babylon Gardens for 2 days , we had a great time because already at the arrival we felt really welcome. All the employes where so nice to us .
The appartement was clean and spacy with 2 bedrooms and everything you need is there.
It was clean and comfortable. Manager Ebru is doing a good job, to make you feel at home.
The price was also good for such a great place with 2 swimming pools a beautifal big garden .
You can also order a very delicious breakfast or diner for a affortable price.
I would recommend this place to everybody.

we stayed two times with my family at this place, have no alternative at this location. because two bedroom and one saloon plus kitchen, price is very cheap, until five persons you can stay easily. there are similar places only in cesme and very expensive. forest and sea panaroma
wonderful,silent, garden area like football field. aparts are very sweet different from others, we tried restaurant one time, breakfast was wonderful. i advice to everybody.
