The location everything was walkable. The room was clean
Nothing was included no water in the rooms had to buy it .breakfast was not included and we had to pay for parking when we paid close to $700 a night for room and taxes then another $45 a night for parking and had to pay for breakfast we have staying many nice places and paid less and got a lot more
Dollar to stay there.
Location was awesome. Easy to get to and accessible to most everything. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Loved our balcony.
Great location, the room was good, breakfast was very good
Everything was ok, but pricey. Breakfast and parking are not included, so a total of about 400$ per night. We were let in into the breakfast after we paid extra to find out everything was half empty. They did accommodate all of our requests once we complained about that, but they should have told us that breakfast is over before we set down.
Don't valet car unless you want bird poo all over it. Rooms were clean. Construction happening in lobby. Great location.
Nice hotel in a great location walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the ferry terminal. Breakfast was fresh and work good variety. Highly recommend
Bien situé et près de tous les restos et cafés
Un peu cher
In the heart of old port.
Their willingness to switch our room.
The first room was not clean.
The hotel entrance was under construction.
The Hyatt Place Portland Downtown in Old Port was a nice hotel with a great location. Walkable to many restaurants and the waterfront, it was essentially one block from the water. The staff was friendly, helpful and pleasant to interact with. From the front desk, to valet parking to the housecleaning staff were all great! The hotel had some construction going on in the lobby, but it did not interfere with our stay.
Perfect location to be able to walk to everything that old port has to offer. Upgraded to a balcony room and the view was spectacular!
Convenient location to Old Port wharf.
Allot of construction understandable for the price should of been notified of the construction
No restaurant or seating area in the lobby
Hyatt Place in Portland is a great place to stay. Clean, updated and with welcoming staff.
It's location can't be beat as there are small shops and restaurants withing a few steps, and the "harbor walk" is a block away.
It's less than 10 minutes from the art museum.
Will stay there again.
Walking distance to everything
Our room was dirty
friendly staff-- helpful and professional
having the parking on site
location was great for walking many places
no breakfast
asked for a quiet room and the next door end of hall couple were quite noisy late at night
Great location to the many shops and restaurants in the downtown Portland area. Room was a special corner room which had floor to ceiling windows which provided a wonderful view but was not too good at keeping out the street noise below. Some minor issues during the stay that were address and the valet staff busted their backside getting vehicles in a quick and timely manner. There was some minor construction but nothing that disturbed the stay. I would stay there agin next time I am in town
The location, breakfast, and breakfast staff were fantastic.
The front desk staff seemed annoyed at their job and were cold. The main issue was the sound proofing between the rooms. We could very clearly hear conversations in surrounding rooms, and they were not loud, yelling, etc. These were casual conversations, in a normal speaking volume and it sounded like they were in our room. We stuffed towels under the door to the connecting room since there was a large gap, and that helped a little bit. The hotel clearly was recently updated, but the construction quality was lacking. The low level of soundproofing and poorly hung shades limited our ability to rest in what was otherwise a beautiful room.
The hotel location was great. It was right in the middle of Old Port which is an area full of history, shops, restaurants and plenty of things to do.
The hotel itself was not so great. When we got there they were in the middle of a downstairs remodel which had most of the lobby closed, the restaurant closed and the bar closed. These are amenities we enjoy, so if we had know this ahead of time we would not have booked this hotel. The first room we were given for a 3 night stay was on the 2nd floor and had the dreaded view of the a/c units and a back parking lot. We went to the desk and requested a room with a better view and they happily moved us to one on the fifth floor with a great view (except for the sea gull poop on the window, but what are you going to do about that?)
Our toilet continued to run after flushing and was very annoying. The hallway carpet looked like it had black mold on it. It didn't of course, it was just the design. (Who ever picked that needs to be fired.)
Overall the hotel would have been fine if the construction wasn't going on. The staff was friendly, the hotel and rooms were nice and clean and the location was great.
We wished we would have booked at the Portland Harbor Hotel instead, which is just across the street. We went there daily to enjoy their restaurant, lobby and bar. I think it is a little more expensive, but would have been well worth it.
