So great and yet needs help
Pros:

The hotel is stunning.
The beach is lovely.
The breakfast was great.
The gym and free yoga classes excellent and fun!
Staff are very attentive and always going above and beyond. We salute their commitment.

Cons:

The sargassum and stench and constant tractor work and diesel smell was not great for this price point. In fairness Malca is THE BEST slice of beach in Tulum when all is well....and yeah...it's not their fault and on this we understand...and it is GREAT to see their heroic efforts to clean the beach- honestly bravo!
The rest in our view needs to be tackled by management at a higher "macro" level:
The outrageous prices practiced here in Tulum which in our view has likely led to a cratering of Tulum's business. It's in all the press.
One can easily see it in the scores of closed businesses along the roadside as you walk around ((God forbid you take a cab).
Whether is $20 kids quesadillas by the pool or $50 3min taxi fares or $400 dinners for two adults and a child (and without starters and only two mains and a couple of drinks)...with outrageously high mandatory tipping.
Hearing from various folks serving or helping you that even Swiss and Dubai clients are gagging at the prices practiced here is funny and tragic.
Finally, the service in Tulum is like everywhere- there are hits and misses - but never have I seen a town where people effectively smile, nod and either agree to disagree with you (Chef at the best restaurant in town) or when raising housekeeping issues happily just ignore it. We were like "wow".
Icing on the cake: watching the cops shaking down non local cab driver because they don't want non local cabs in town as we arrived was the first sign we were in a "special place". We travelled the entire Yucatán and never saw that anywhere else.
Hard not love the (bygone) charm of this town but TBH it was disappointing given the thousands we spent there.

Heaven on earth
Pros:

This is such a paradise of a place. Beautiful room, beautiful beach, beautiful forest-y place. The staff is super attentive but not at all disruptive. The shower is ginormous. I wish I could just live there. Breakfast is lovely and you have it right on the beach. Ugh, it's amazing.

Cons:

The food in the restaurant was not very exciting and VERY expensive. You're not allowed to throw toilet paper into the garbage but the trash can is wide open which is a bit gross.

Heaven on earth!
Pros:

If I could give 1000/1000 I would!!! Candelario from the front desk w all concierge staff made our trip unforgetable. Ask them and they provide, in a few seconds. Noa from the beach bar is my brother, but I do not want to forget all others, the breakfast staff, all other beach and pool staff, security from the entrance, everybody. Guys, I will be returning here till tje end of the world. Love you so much. Thank you for the upgrade of my room. Thank you for your love. Thanks also to Willy the driver from your transfer agency. You are the best!!!!

Gereksiz pahalı ve ayrıntılara dikkat edilmemiş.
Pros:

Beğenilecek bir tarafı yok.

Cons:

Her yerin kum olması gereksiz, Maldivleri kıskanmak anlamsız. Lobi önünde yırtık koltuklardan salıncak yapmak tesise nasıl artı bir değer katabilir?

The best hotel in Tulum
Pros:

This is our second stay at Casa Malca. It’s more than just the novelty of the art. The service is first class. The food is fantastic and the setting is the best in the hotel zone. Any seaweed on the beach was removed straight away whereas the rest of the hotels had huge piles of seaweed building up. The beach is deeper than any other hotel and the sun loungers are set back under palm trees keeping your space private but still directly beach front. Clemente and Fausto did everything possible to make sure we had the best time. Breakfast is fantastic quality. We will be back again soon.

Great view
Pros:

Casa Malca is beautifully located and offers an amazing view from the rooms. The resort itself is very attractive, with beach loungers that are more like beach beds, plenty of palm trees, and a truly pleasant atmosphere. A big advantage is that the hotel is built on a dune, which means beach vendors cannot approach guests as aggressively as they do at Nomade.

The front desk and concierge work flawlessly and efficiently. In fact, I would say the gentlemen working there operate above standard and genuinely make guests feel welcome and comfortable. As an example, when I mentioned that there was no television in my room, they actually brought a TV to the room for me, which I found very thoughtful.

The main downside is the service on the beach and during breakfast, which is, unfortunately, typically weak by Mexican standards. I understand that everyone can have a better or worse day, but at Casa Malca, whenever I asked for something, it felt like a roulette: a 50% chance it would be delivered and a 50% chance it would be forgotten. Strictly speaking, this should lower my rating to 4 stars. However, doing so would unfairly reduce the hotel’s overall score on TripAdvisor, because Casa Malca is clearly a better hotel than Nomade or Be Tulum, despite having similar service issues in this area.

An additional advantage is the location: Casa Malca is very close to the parties at Nomade, only about 150 meters away, yet the loud music from those events cannot be heard inside the rooms, which is a big plus.

If someone is hesitating between Be Tulum, Nomade, or Casa Malca, Casa Malca is by far the most beautiful option. The place looks truly paradisiacal.

Not a luxury experience
Pros:

Not what I expected for a high end hotel. For the price I found too many problems here although the beach is beautiful and property unique. Most hotels want repeat guests as that really illustrates how people really liked the property. If I were to stay in Tulum again I would probably look for another property. 1) the service is very inconsistent sometimes not that attentive as you have to ask several times to get something done or sometimes they outright forget 2) a big thing for us is the music…here it’s that annoying same beat bass club music. For us it wasn’t peaceful and downgraded the hotel to just another typical Tulum beach club energy…something we want to avoid…especially for the price. 3) the food we found to also be very overpriced even by nyc standards.4) rooms are dark and dimly lit but that was ok to deal with I guess. So bottom line…ok if you stay here once but doubt it will be a regular place for us which is a shame.
