Please note that in winter, the property is not accessible by car. During winter, guests can access the hotel by ski before 17:30. During ski elevator closing hours, the property will pick guests up by snow bike. A free pick-up service is available from Vars-les-Claux.

Please note that in summer, the property is accessible on foot or by car via a forest road. In summertime, the owner can pick you up by four-wheel drive.

After the ski slopes closure, a staff member will pick you up with a snowmobile.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

been there done it - fine - but probably not again, as you feel slightly ripped
Pros:

If you take the extra effort to get there, it’s a fantastic location. All you hear is nature and peace.

Cons:

137€ for a single room w/o breakfast is on the sporty side, but (!) what kills it slightly is 9€ for a pint of (very normal) Heineken … come on, be realistic this is not (!) ok

A little slice of heaven in the Alpes!
Pros:

Absolutely amazing stay! We had the entire resort to ourselves on our one night in Vars. The location is so peaceful and beautiful. I would highly recommend this chalet. Super friendly and personal staff! Excellent food and comfortable clean rooms.

Très jolie découverte. Un hôtel très chaleureux. Il porte bien son nom. Un lieu tranquille dans un paysage grandiose. Le personnel est sympathique et extrêmement serviable.

Première expérience en hotel d'altitude. C'ést tres sympa. Les prestations, chambre et demi-pension, ont été au top dans cet hôtel. Merci pour ce bon moment.

Cadre superbe. Calme mais prevenir sur descriptif route d,acces depuis la station chemin. De terre avec ornières a éviter avec une Porsche coupé a l' hôtel si vous laissez. la voiture a la station on viens vous chercher

Gemütliches kleines Berghotel mit Traumkulisse
Pros:

Wir waren von unserem Kurzaufenthalt (1 Nacht) restlos begeistert. Das kleine Berghotel liegt einsam inmitten eines Skigebietes, allerdings etwas schwierig zu erreichen. Wir kamen mit dem Motorrad nur mit Mühe die unbefestigte Straße hinauf. Der Weg hat sich jedoch gelohnt. Das junge Betreiberpaar war sehr freundlich und spricht gut Englisch. Das Zimmer war klein, aber fein, mit einer Traumaussicht. Am Abend wurde der offene Kamin in der Stube angeheizt und es gab ein hervorragendes Fleischfondue - sehr gemütlich. Das französische Frühstück mit frisch gepresstem Orangensaft gab es draußen auf der Sonnenterrasse. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben, das Hotel wurde aber leider zum Ende der Sommersaison bis zum Beginn der Skisaison geschlossen.

Au milieu des marmottes
Pros:

Toute la famille va garder un bon souvenir de l'hôtel. Sa situation est vraiment original. Par contre si vous avez une voiture type Ferrari il vaut mieux rejoindre l'hôtel à pied!!!
