Pros:

The room was clean, cool, and comfortable, which was especially appreciated as it was 33°C outside, so we had a great night's sleep. The hotel also has a nice bar with a pool table and is in a great location. The staff were friendly, and very accommodating throughout our stay.

Still waiting on refund - we checked in and checked out within 5 mins
Pros:

Cons:

The bed frame where rattling and bent over, a bad H&S issue. I’m not sure how anyone cleaning that’s room would allow someone to stay there. It’s dated, the stairs were dirty. We walked in and walked back out within 5 minutes

Unbelievably poor, rude, stroppy attitude given by staff to simple confusion+neglected accommodation
Pros:

It started well. We were looking for a last minute get away and decided Blackpool would be the destination. Never been so wanted to explore.
We left home a lot later than planned and due to traffic didn't arrive in Blackpool till after midnight. We phoned a number of hotels and guest houses and those who answered were full, with most not answering.
The staff at The Oxford Hotel answered and we were able to take 2 double rooms after their listed last admission time.
Arrived and they allowed us to use their one only parking space behind the hotel.

Good start.

However that was as good as it got

Cons:

We asked about breakfast and were told as we went to find our rooms, that there was a breakfast option but it needed to be ordered the night before. We had to ask. It wasn't offered by staff. So can't advise on this.

The rooms were next to each other as requested. We climbed the stairs to the roof with our bags, and noticed the signs explaining 'refurbishment & inconvenience'. There wasn't any evidence of refurbishment in any area of the property.
The rooms were very expensive for the look and quality that we stayed in.
1 room contained 2 single beds and located to the front of the property. Large window and had a wardrobe next to the bed which covered half of the large window. L-shaped room. There was a small TV mountwd on a bracket on the wall above the second dingle bed - this tv worked!!
There was a lack of available seating apart from the bed, and the TV wouldn't be able to be watched from the second bed

The other room was larger, with 3 single beds and just as desperate for the refurbishment crew to arrive. Very desperately in need of being brought into this century.
This was at the back of the property and had an approximately 2 foot high window from the ceiling, stopping above head height. This ran the full length of the room and although gives a nice view of the top of the Blackpool tower, you had to stand on the only chair in the room to see out the window. The property next door had a loft extension with a large roof extension blocking half of the window.
There was a badly fitting net across the full width but no curtains at all to block out the morning sun.
The small wall mounted TV we had didn't work, and with the late hour we decided to speak to the staff the next day.
The towels supplied were small, old, thin and felt 'at home' in the room.
The beds were old but comfortable with old mattress toppers.
