Lovely hotel, friendly staff and good choice of meals.
Pros:

Clean room and large bathroom, staff were very friendly and hotel was close to shops. Good choice for food. Tea and coffee in room were exceptional, different from your usual. Nice biscuits too. Large private car park to the rear of property.

Cons:

I think our room was above the kitchen and one end of the floor got quite warm.

Very friendly staff with very good food. The pie night seemed very popular and with good reason.
Pros:

Superb breakfast, location was exactly what we wanted for the places we wanted to visit.

Cons:

There was a very noisy couple one night although this was recognised by the hosts and they did apologise. To be fair there is not too much they could have done about it at 3 in the morning. You can always get this and should not be regarded as a negative for the venue but it did impact our experience.

Pros:

Nice pub and friendly staff. It was handy having parking included. The breakfast was lovely. The accommodation was in a good position, just a short walk into the main area of Amble.

Cons:

The room was dated and in need of some upkeep.

Wellwood provides a warm welcome.
Pros:

Staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. Room was very clean. Breakfast requests brilliantly accommodated.

Cons:

Room was shabby and tired in places. Also extremely hot: despite no heating being on.

A wonderful place to stay, lovely room, great good and a great base to explore Amble.
Pros:

What an incredibly friendly welcome, room was cosy, clean and tidy and a lovely bed
For the night. They serve wonderful food and the pub has real atmosphere. Breakfast was great.

Good value, convenient accommodation in Amble.
Pros:

Staff were very welcoming, good quality tea and coffee in the room, very good cooked breakfast especially the sausage! Room was comfortable. Free parking was a bonus.
