Cons:

When I saw the property, it felt like a prison compound completely surrounded by metal fencing, and only accessible via a coded gate. The quality inn across the street looked very inviting instead. So, I checked booking.com to see whether I was still within the cancellation window. I was. I canceled the booking successfully per booking.com. 30 minutes later my bank was charged for the night at motel 6, and when I called them, I was rudely informed that they had changed their policies months ago. They then informed me that the mistake was booking.com's and that they would not refund me. Needless to say, I am pursuing this. I have also never been charged by motel 6 before arriving at the desk and presenting my card. I thought that was a reflection of the management's general paranoia.

Worst weekend stay ever!

Cons:

Tv stopped working and wouldn't send anyone to look at it. No microwave anywhere. No fridge anywhere. Soda machine too expensive. People partying and noisy in parking lot all night. Management did nothing to stop it. Will not be staying there again. Charging a deposit we never got back

A Good Quality Bargain!
Pros:

The rooms were remodeled since my last stay. They were clean and comfortable. Definitely a good choice and a very enjoyable stay!

Cons:

There's nothing I didn't like. I really enjoyed my stay.

Walking distance to Discovery Park and Old Sacramento
Pros:

I was very happy to be within walking distance (during the daytime) of Old Sacramento and Discovery Park. Both locations provided me with enough exercise, outdoor experiences and history that I was very glad to have chosen the hotel.

Cons:

I felt safe during my stay but the need for extra security measures was a bit disconcerting. After walking around nearby, I do understand why the hotel needs to take these precautions.
