I would like to share regarding my recent stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Liverpool Spa with my wife.
We arrived at the hotel very tired around 01:00 UTC. Unfortunately, from the moment of check-in, the experience did not meet the standards I usually associate with DoubleTree by Hilton.
Initially, the room I had booked was not provided. After receiving a key card, it turned out to be incorrect, and the reception team had to intervene again. When I finally accessed the room, I realized it was not the correct one, which required me to return to reception and wait approximately 10–15 minutes to be reassigned.
The second room was similar to my booking, but it had separated beds, which was unnecessary and uncomfortable as I was staying with my wife. Additionally, the room was very cold. Despite trying until around 03:00 to heat the room, it never reached a comfortable temperature.
Due to the late hour and discomfort, I requested another room change, which was granted. However, by that time it was already very late, and the disruption meant I did not enjoy the night at all. The only acceptable part of the stay was being offered a late check-out of two hours, which I appreciated.
I would like to emphasize that the reception staff were kind and helpful throughout. My feedback is not about the staff, but about room allocation, maintenance, and overall preparedness.
I have stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul several times and always had excellent experiences, which is why this stay was particularly disappointing. I sincerely hope this was an exception, as repeated issues of this nature would unfortunately affect my confidence in the brand’s maintenance standards.
Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. I hope it will be taken constructively to improve future guest experiences.
Kind regards,
Kerim Kapazan
The room was nice and spacious.
It's very close to the town centre.
The breakfast was good.
Spacious bathroom, with bath and shower and 2 sinks.
Friendly staff.
Spa not being included for guests. The cost to guests is £20 per hour and that's way too much.
Was a fantastic overall stay
The location, size of the rooms, comfortable bed.
Bathroom was massive.
There was no heating on in the rooms it was freezing
But they did put it on once asked and also brought in some extra radiators
i liked the location
the hotel was dates and i didn’t like that spa visits wasn’t included closes at 6pm and is £20 per hour this should be stated before booking
Belta
Staff were extremely polite and accommodating. All had a smile on their face whilst they worked. Very refreshing
Can't fault anything
Breakfast lovely, rooms clean friendly staff.
Breakfast lovely, rooms clean the only thing I did not agree with hotel put a holding fee of £360 on my card within the free cancellation period I think this is unacceptable.
The building
You can’t open the window for a fresh air
Big comfy beds, clean room, good location and friendly staff.
£20 to use the pool when you have paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel. The room we had didn’t have a bath as pictured in the room pictures.
Location and breakfast was nice
There were only 2 channels to watch on the TV, the plugs near the mirror didn't work so I burnt myself with my curling wand, the wifi kept dropping out and it was £20 per person to swim for just 1 hour - when we did call to book, we couldn't get in.
Location was good didn’t have breakfast to expensive.
To start off when we checked in we had to pay a 50.00 security fee which was not stated on the booking. And still haven’t received it back yet. Room was to hot even with the air conditioning on set my asthma off. Shower door was coming off .
