When the Tioga Road is closed, it is not possible to drive to Tuolumne Meadows or enter Yosemite National Park from the east. All other park entrances, including those along Highway 120 from the west, Hetch Hetchy, Highway 140, and Highway 41, remain open all year.

Cheapening out at every opportunity but still charging resort prices!
Pros:

Location was great! Right in the middle of town.

Cons:

I don’t expect much from Motel 6 but at $160 a night, the least they could do is give us real milk for the coffee in the morning. Powdered non-dairy creamer is an insult.

I stayed on the second floor on Friday and had a pretty good experience; there was a small fridge, a microwave, a hairdryer, and so on—everything was compact but well-equipped and quite convenient.

Cons:

In contrast to the first day, which went perfectly, the second day was quite disappointing. We found Mammoth Village so lovely that we decided to stay an extra day instead of leaving as planned; however, the room I booked for this additional night located on the ground floor was subpar. Given the last-minute booking, I won't complain about the price, but the amenities were very poor: there was no air conditioning, no hair dryer, and not even any shampoo (unlike the room I had on the second floor the day before). There was only a small bar of soap, and the shower was old with very weak water pressure. I offer this feedback in the hope that things will improve in the future, as I would certainly like to return to the village it is simply beautiful.
