Pros:

Topaz Beach Hotel has extraordinary employees, all of them are very kind, nice, always ready to help and advise, specialy the Manager who always takes time for every guest even when she is very bussy. You can feel that she is living for hotel's guests. The food was very good, hotel is clean, the location is top, on the beach, and has also a swimming pool. The beach front is sandy and the waves of the Indian ocean are calm enough in the morning, so you can take a swimm there. The wiev from the hotel to the Indian ocean trhrough the palm trees over the sandy beach is splendid and the sunset is unforgetible.

Cons:

My husband and me could't find anthing what we supose to not like.

Was fine for what we needed at the time.

Hotel was tired
No fridge in room.
No coffee facilities in room.
We arrived at 10.30 after a long flight they made us wait till 2 to get in room for no good reason as hotel was not full.

Très bon choix à Negombo
Pros:

Sur booking.com, il est fréquent que les hôtels soient sous-évalués, tandis que les logements chez l'habitant sont souvent surévalués. Le Topaz Beach Hotel mérite mieux que sa note : notre séjour y a été très agréable, avec plage, chambre confortable et calme, personnel sympathique et un tarif raisonnable pour un hébergement de qualité.

Would recomend if staying in Negombo on a budget. They even have a diving center!
Pros:

The location is fantastic. Hotel staff was very kind and accomodating. Especially Prasad & the whole team.
The hotel has that 80's charm and you can expect a bit of bugs life but nothing too bad.
The furniture has that rustic feel and the views from the balcony are a good vibe. Especially the sun rises and sunsets.

Breakfast is simple but, wholesome and yummy.

Cons:

The unexpected visitors from bugs life. Not too much of a bother but would be nice if they didn't exist. The bathrooms need a bit of an update, they're clean but a bit old.

Location.

Cons:

Bathroom was dirty, no toiletries (as advertised for the room we paid for). No hot water in the morning. Hotel staff allowing an idiot to keep letting off fireworks constantly, could hear them 100 meters away in another bar. Hotel needs a good makeover.

Sehr dringender Renovierungsbedarf

Das einzig Gute am Hotel ist die Lage.

Cons:

Leider können wir dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen. Für uns ist nicht nachvollziehbar, wie es zu einer 3-Sterne-Bewertung kommt. Das gesamte Haus wirkt stark in die Jahre gekommen und wenig gepflegt – im Flur lief sogar eine Kakerlake. Beim Betreten des Zimmers hatte man sofort den Wunsch, es wieder zu verlassen. Besonders das Badezimmer war in einem Zustand, in dem man sich kaum aufhalten, geschweige denn duschen wollte.

Un accueil très sympathique
Pros:

Le personnel est adorable. Les chambres sont vétustes mais le mobilier en bois et la simplicité sont charmants. Le rapport qualité prix pourrait être meilleur, le restaurant est un peu cher , 1000 rp pour un jus de citron, un peu trop cher pour le lieu.

Great place for acclimatising for first few days on arrival.
Pros:

Location, beachfront, pool, convenience ti airport. A great little hotel to acclimatise in for a few days.

Cons:

Good value considering prices in the area, but a bit pricey compared to more southern beach hotels

Hotel right by the beach
Pros:

The position of the hotel right on the beach with a pool was fabulous.
The staff were polite and helpful.The food was delicious and very reasonably priced.

Cons:

The hotel is dated and in need of renovation.
Some rooms have been upgraded but others need to upgrade such things as floors,lighting,mirrors and deep cleaning
