This hotel was only adequate
Pros:

The restaurant staff were accommodating despite what was on offer.
The staff were as accommodating as the facilities & management allowed.

Cons:

The whole experience was very disappointing. I would not stay again.

La simplicité pour acceuil, l'attention pour retenir.
Pros:

Nous avons retrouvé Topaz comme nous l'avions apprécié la derniére fois.
Lhôtel est très bien tenu, le personnel est vraiment attentif pour notre confort. La piscine est un plus. La proximité de la plage ( propre ) un grand avantage. Le rapport qualité/prix très correct.

Cons:

Le manque de visiteurs modifie les prestations, le petit déjeuner est un peu sucsint . Les plats froids ( nouilles) et le café ou thé poudre .
Mais la période est difficile. Moins de 10 clients durant les 4 premiers jours.
Cela ne nous empêchera pas de revenir , nous préférons des lieux simples et acceuillants à des prestations surfaîtes. Merci à toute l'équipe.

Good location
Pros:

Nice pool. Reasonable breakfast. Helpful staff. But unfortunately poor facilities in room. Not clean smelly toilet, creaky bed, noisy aircon. No tea or coffee just a kettle. Only one pillow each and very discoloured. Grubby generally.

Hôtel aurait besoin d'une mise aux normes.
Pros:

La proximité de la plage, le petit déjeuner, proche de la ville pour faire des courses. La direction au généreusement acceptée, que l'on quitte la chambre à quatorze heures au lieu de midi, sans payer.

Cons:

La douche est dans un état sanitaire lamentable, robinetrie, complètement oxydée, de plus malgré une chambre luxe, la direction a refusé de nous donner du shampoing. Ou du jet douche, il a fallu que l'on l'achète. Et nous ont dit que notre chambre était pas. Haut de gamme. La piscine est mal entretenue l'eau et flou est douteuse. Quand j'ai regardé le système de filtration il n'y avait pas d'injection de chlore, c'est un simple filtre à sable Il y a que dix transats pour trente chambres. Les matelas de transat sont sales, les serviettes de plage. Ont une trentaine d'années, les chambres ont vraiment besoin d'une réflexion. Elles sont d'un autre temps. Le matelas aurait besoin d'échanger une date d'un autre siècle.

Tolle Aussicht aufs Meer
Pros:

Die Lage: Das Hotel liegt gleich neben Negombo Beach Park und in der Nähe sind viele Restaurants und Geschäfte. Die Aussicht aufs Meer vom Balkon ist großartig. Dadurch dass das Hotel eher klein ist, ist man unmittelbar am Strand und im Geschehen, bei größeren Hotels war mehr Distanz. Das Personal ist bemüht und freundlich, aber man muss schon viel seine Wünsche bzw Bedürfnise kommunizieren, dann wird der Aufenthalt aber auch gut. Frühstück war ausreichend, statt dem recht künstlichen Joghurt wäre der Sri Lankan Buffalo Curd fein und statt dem Zuckersirup, wäre echter Kithul Treacle toll, ist vielleicht aber auch eine Kostensache. Pool war sauber und von angenehmer Größe. Gleich neben dem Hotel am Strand ist ein sehr leckeres Restaurant.

Cons:

Die Sauberkeit ist verbesserungsdürftig. Die Zimmer werden nur geputzt wenn man die Schlüssel an der Rezeption abgibt, dass muss man erst rausfinden... Beim Pool sind die Liegen ab und zu knapp.

Topaz Beach Hotel has extraordinary employees, all of them are very kind, nice, always ready to help and advise, specialy the Manager who always takes time for every guest even when she is very bussy. You can feel that she is living for hotel's guests. The food was very good, hotel is clean, the location is top, on the beach, and has also a swimming pool. The beach front is sandy and the waves of the Indian ocean are calm enough in the morning, so you can take a swimm there. The wiev from the hotel to the Indian ocean trhrough the palm trees over the sandy beach is splendid and the sunset is unforgetible.

My husband and me could't find anthing what we supose to not like.

Was fine for what we needed at the time.
Pros:

Good location for airport
Nice gardens and pool

Cons:

Hotel was tired
No fridge in room.
No coffee facilities in room.
We arrived at 10.30 after a long flight they made us wait till 2 to get in room for no good reason as hotel was not full.
