Excellent location to a great beach . Pim was incredible, directing us to local beaches and activities

Unica pecca il bagno da migliorare, le docce sono da sistemare.

This is the worst experience I had in my trip to Thailand. I regret that we selected thieves and worst service, staff is very arrogant and was laughing when I realized that they still my money and still my presents from my luggage bag from room. Manager was screaming to us. This is inappropriate to talk like that with guests! Never ever again and please all be aware of this place! Plus bedbugs. Horrible experience!

Not bad but a little underwhelmed. Yes cost was low but place was a bit run down. Room a bit run down. Needs some TLC. In fact, it needs a new sign at top of the driveway. Hard to find the small laneway to the hotel.

A complete scam. Upon arrival, the hotel room was covered in food crumbs, every surface was disgusting, and the smell was horrid. The photos online were anything but accurate to what I experienced in person. After 20 minutes of being in the room, I could not stand the filth anymore and went downstairs to ask for a refund and to cancel my reservation. The staff was the most disrespectful and rude group of individuals I had ever interacted with in my many weeks here in Thailand. The female manager who wouldn’t provide her name to me proceeded to use the excuse that I should understand what “for the price of the room, this is what to expect”. Since when has the price of a hotel room dictated what a basic level of cleanliness is? There was not a single ounce of professionalism amongst the staff, so if you are even considering this hotel, take this advice and do not stay here. If I could rate it less than 1 star, I would.

I would like to share my experience staying at AM Surin Place.
The staff were lovely, and the location was super convenient - the prices seemed reasonable.
We had booked three rooms over 10 nights this January.

When we arrived, it became apparent that the photographs online were terribly outdated.
Initially, for the price, these were things that one could let slide - but as the holiday progressed, things became steadily worse. I would like to list these out, and have future travelers decide for themselves.

> The photos of this place were OBVIOUSLY old. (Their webmaster is probably a slacker - bearable)
> You access the hotel through a parkade in a back alley with garbage bins lining the entrance and cars being washed out front/back (unpleasant but ok)
> Rooms were not presented as in the photos, no towel swans or flowers in sight. (Could deal without them)
> The veneer on the furniture was peeling. (This place is older than presented, still bearable)
> The extra seating/sofas in our ‘Grand Deluxe’ rooms were nowhere to be seen. (We had some louse outdoor chairs scattered around the room so we could deal with it)
> The rooms smelled a tad musty (Ok it’s the tropics, aired out the room and chose to deal with it)
> Swimming pool facilities - The water was OVERLY chlorinated,the recliners, seating and cushions are sunbleached and weathered, the outdoor showers were dismal and filthy. The area was filled with drying racks for other guests' clothes - a totally unappealing place to be.
> “Free high speed internet” (What a joke! You are given a token that expires every few days or when you reach an arbitrary data cap. The speeds are slower than dial-up. The international roaming data on my mobile was faster, so again we chose to grin and bear it.)
> Hairdryers (You had to go to the front desk to request one, and hope that another guest hadn’t checked it out - very frustrating for the female guests in our party as we were in Phuket for a wedding!!!)
> Rainfall showerheads - NOT TRUE (The fittings were rusty and leaky, no shower curtains, so any attempt at bathing left the entire bathroom flooded. The privacy curtains in the showers were covered in black mould and this was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING)
> Low and behold, on our second last day we found bedbugs - captured and presented them to the front of house staff who chose to explicitly deny that this had EVER happened before and that they were ‘sorry that there was nothing they could do’.
> After some back and forth, they chose to wave a few days worth of breakfasts and send us on our merry way.
> We checked out immediately, with no offer of reimbursement for the remaining room booked for our last guest.

In conclusion, the place is completely misrepresented online and looks nothing like the pictures.
The location, price and offers seemed reasonable when booking, but once you scratched beneath the surface it all came apart and the front of house were absolutely apathetic!

We would not stay here again - but the choice is yours.

Mycket trevligt hotell med ca 5 min gångavstånd till stranden. Trevlig personal och bra frukost. Enda negativa var dåligt Wi-Fi, dåligt vattentryck så man fick stå en stund i duschen samt en högljudd (men effektiv) aircondition.

We had a wonderful stay (at first) and the staff was friendly. We noticed bite marks each morning and initially thought they were mosquito bites. On our last night we noticed bed bugs. When we pulled off the covers, the mattress was covered. Be careful of this place!

With such mixed reviews and a very defensive owner, we weren’t quite sure what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised with AM Surin Place. If you’re on a budget, we’d recommend it. It’s down a very quiet street but still only a 5-10 minute walk from the beach and about 2-5 minutes from the shops and restaurants of Surin. Lovely and quiet at night. The pool is very small and in shade all day so very cold. We didn’t use it. But with the beach so close, that didn’t bother us. The staff were very helpful. We complained that the bed was too hard after our first night and within half an hour an extra mattress topper had been added. We slept very well for the remainder of our stay. Breakfast was generous, albeit a bit basic. The room was spacious and clean and housekeeping got in early each day, which was great. If you want to be in Surin but can’t afford the more expensive resorts, I think you can book here with confidence, bearing in mind that it it is a 3-star hotel and nothing extra special but it had all we needed and we left after five nights having really enjoyed our stay.

Worth for money but at the booking they assured me my room was on 4th floor and at the check in they told me my room was not available anymore

Realy good money to quality ratio

Me and my boyfriend, we stayed in this place for 4 nights. In the beginning, when we saw the outside picture (grey walls, industrial look) we had mixed feelings but when we saw the room... oh, it was wonderful. The room was clean, it looked exactly like in the pictures we have seen in Agoda. All the amenities were at our disposal (fridge full of soft drinks for a great price) For me the best thing I could have was the bathtub as I was travelling on a budget before and I didn't have a proper bath for 2 months 😂. The walking distance to the beach is only 5 minutes and the beach itself is beautiful! Supermarket (family mart) is one minute walking from the hotel, next to the place are great restaurants as well. I cannot omit the wonderful staff who really helped me in my last day when I needed to go to the Bus station Terminal 2. As you know the taxis on Phuket are really expensive. So instead of paying 700 baht for the taxi, the receptionist lady gave me an advice to take the public blue bus fot 50 baht. One staff member gave me a lift to the local bus station for free (I wanted to give him some money but he refused to take it) and thanks to him I catched the bus at the right time. I really appreciate all the help I got from them. I also eat the breakfast there, scrambled eggs were delicious. I had also coffee, orange juice, some salad (I am vegetarian) and fruits (180 baht for everything, which is very reasonable price). In general, it is so worth the price that one day I might be going back to stay there and enjoy the sun! 😊😊😊
