The hotel was standard i most ways -- clean and comfortable. My room had some minor inconveniences, but the location was a big advantage.

While it didnt bother me, the water heater on the shower in my room didnt work. Thailand is hot. Cool showers feel fine. The shower water has a sulpher-like smell when it started, but that clears up if you run the water a little while.

I ended up sick (bali belly) -- not the fault of the hoyel -- and I appreciated the hotel staff policy of not entering the room unless the door knob placard specifically called for cleaning. This is also a good environmental step-- I dont really need my towels and sheets changed every day.

The location of the hotel was desirable. It was between the two main beaches and far enough away from the noisy bars that I could sleep at night. Once you hear how loud the bars are, you will appreciate this feature.

Rooms are in serious need of updating. Staff very helpful and aircon fantastic. Beware of the aggressive monkeys

A very clean budget hotel. A hotel to sleep in, the bed is very good and to take a shower. It is located between the two beaches of Phi Phi Don Island. It is an affordable and honest hotel. The manager, Mr. Sak, is attentive and very respectful, doing everything he can to provide a good stay. The breakfast is poor. It is worth staying here if you are looking for a hotel to spend as little as possible.

Very disappointing. Room is in disrepair (see photos). Did not feel safe in room. Website photos DO NOT reflect condition of room or building. We let the hotel know we’d be leaving a bad review and they didn’t respond…

Hyvä sijainti, kävelymatkan päästä Phi Phin keskustasta ja lauttalaiturista. Rauhallinen ja hiljainen hotelli. Hyvä ja monipuolinen buffetaamiainen. Aamiaispaikan voi valita kahdesta eri paikasta. Ainoa huono puoli uloskirjautumisesta jo klo 11 eikä lisämaksustakaan onnistunut myöhäisempi checkout.

We booked a deluxe room but when we arrived we were taken to a totally different hotel. The room at the other hotel was sub-standard and completely unacceptable as it had no window to see outside. There are only sliding glass doors with frosted glass to block view outside. When the sliding doors are opened the view outside is immediately blocked by an ugly metal security wall. On the other side of the metal wall is the exterior seating for a noisy buffet which opens at 7:30 am. We felt like we were in a jail cell. I asked to change rooms but they were all booked. We went out and when we returned I contacted Agoda about the room as Chongkhao's reception was closed. The next day when I talked to Chongkhao reception about a discount they refused. Changing hotels should not be allowed without guests consent in advance.

Personnel aimable et serviable.

Property could use a renovation. Had some issues with the toilet not working, but they addressed it. Location was quiet for the most part away from the busy center but close enough to walk to the pier, the other beach and restaurants.

Pore standard and service. Staf don’t talk english and is not very helpfull.

Par contre les lits ne sont pas confortables, nous n’avions pas d’eau chaude. Nous avions réservé une chambre pour 3. Il s’agissait en réalité d’une chambre pour 2 avec un lit pliant supplémentaire qui a été sorti d’on ne sait trop où le jour de notre arrivée.

I was looking for ages to find the right accommodation in our budget. Ko Phi Phi is not what it once was, more of a holiday resort for the rich then a travelers destination.

Wanted something authentic, not modern, expensive and noisy. I chose Chongkhao as it looked authentically Thai, and appeared to be in a quiet location, in our budget.

We had a really lovely time here. It was quiet, monkeys can be seen on the rooftops passing by. Close to both beaches, one for swimming (boat side) the other is the main long beach you can walk along to the nightlife further down, so you walk along the beach home after a night out.

We didn't eat breakfast here, we went into town for breakfast as there are loads of places to eat.

Our room was just like the one in the picture, large double bed, large balcony, bath room and wardrobe, all clean and tidy, nothing to complain about, expectations met.

The guy on the front desk made us laugh, we liked him and he booked our tickets to Maya Bay which was reasonable and a terrific experience and I think booking with him meant we didn't get ripped off.

Personally, I loved this hotel, yes it maybe dated but that's exactly what we wanted and it was very charming. Monkeys are in this area which is fun to see. Would probably book this hotel again if I ever come back.

The sump pump was a little loud, running lots all night. The place overall was good.

The location is good but quite a long walk from the center of Phi Phi.
Service was not that good this time.

Was here with my partner and we enjoyed our stay! I was worried at first when booking because of some of the reviews but our stay was better than anticipated because of this. Although you can tell some of the towels and decor is outdated it is clean which is all that matters to us. The location is further away from the main streets, this allows for it to be quieter at night time (however it can lead to a lot of walking). We are active people so we liked the excuse to walk. The walk at night can be dark however, and although I found the island safe it is something to consider if travelling alone. Overall, for the price, a great stay. Especially for backpackers who are okay being away from the noise and are travelling in a group of 2 (cheaper than most hostels).

Good hotel, big and clean rooms. Not expensive and girl at reception is nice and helpful. Super close to Loh Dalum Beach (1-2 min walk) and city centre (5-7 min walk).
They don't show on google maps (weird error).

I asked for a room and a quote via whatsapp and initially didn't get an answer, after a friendly inquiry I was quoted a horrendous price. I asked what type of room this price was for, then I was instantly blocked. It has never happened to me and I travel a lot! Of course I booked somewhere else.
