Communal areas could do with refresh and there is no lift so you have to carry bags upstairs.

Good bed & pillows.
The leak in the hallway ceiling close to our room (we noticed the peeling paint on arrival, so it wasn’t new). Started overnight. Water seeped into our room/ carpet. Left a smelly/ damp odour. And as windows are locked the moist can’t really escape (despite aircon running all night).
The hotel personnel came and restocked fridge while we were out. It would have been appreciated if a bit more was done to attempt to dry the wet carpet or open the window to let the room air.
Hand & body wash was empty upon arrival.
The beds were comfy. Great location. Liked the discounts on drinks and meals at pub below. easy and quick check in process.
We were lucky to have water view from our room, beds are comfortable, close to shops and pub downstairs.

The hotel is in a fantastic location straight across from the beach, 2 minutes walk to the train station, 3 minutes walk to Coles supermarket and plenty of restaurants and shops in close proximity.
The room was perfect for our needs. Super comfy beds and amazing rain shower in the bathroom. Super impressed by the complimentary mini bar - kids loved their Tim Tam and Sprite!
The check in manager was super friendly and very helpful.
We also loved the 10% discount off food and free $10 drink voucher each. We opted to eat in the bistro over room service and were super impressed by the meals - Delicious!

We had room 2 - it doesn’t have a smart TV. That is literally the only thing I could fault.

Proximity to transport and shops. Very clean
No one at reception on arrival, you have to call a number then go through to the hotel bistro. The windows are difficult to open and close poor sound proofing between rooms.
