Great location. The property needs some maintenance to keep Up the charm depicted in promotional photos.
The pool was refreshing however needs a good scrub.
Breakfast was very average with limited selection.
Overall the stay was enjoyable.
what a beutiful place
surely will come again!
My sister got bitten all over by mosquitoes in the room. Dust is everywhere, tables, chairs, tea cups. Kettle has dust outside, tea stain inside. Breakfast is poor. Cutlery are dirty and dusty. More than twice, I had to asked for clean cutlery. They have 1 guy only who is the cleaner, also the cook. Scramble egg and omelette are the same, only in different shape. Most of the pancakes are not either brown or fluffy. Veggie is 3 slices of grilled tomato only, nothing else. The pool machine is very noisy. The surrounding area is stinky. Sewage system along the road widely open. The design of the hotel is very nice, has a boutique and rustic feel but the service needs to be improved.
Great service from very welcoming staff. Lovely room & breakfast.
The hotel is very shoddy and rundown. definitely not worth the price. i checked in and left immediately for another hotel. The staff was very nice and accomodating but nothing can make up for the state of the hotel itself. sorry i wouldnt recomment this to anyone.
We came here based on reviews but the wireless was poor and not many t.v. channels. The location was pretty good with food and shops around but we would probably have preferred to be closer to the historical part. Breakfast was poor, my small kids eat cereal and none was available. We also had a family room which was a big mistake as we had a toddler always trting to go up and down the stairs and actually fell on the cement floor twice. It was not a child friendly room. The garden and pool was quaint. Unfortunately we did not get any sleep in the nights as there were road works from 10pm to 5am and you can hear everything in the room. We would not stay there again. Probably better for couples or adult travellers.
As soon as we arrived we received a warm welcome from the staff who were both extremely kind and knowledgeable about Georgetown. The room and hotel were fantastic, with the architectural charm of the city, and a short walk from the middle of the colonial area. We really enjoyed our stay and couldn't recommend it enough!
Nice comfort, the children will love it and will cime again..
On arrival at the airport, we called a Grab car costing RM20.
We stayed 2 nights in the upstairs room called Batik. It was at the back of the house, beside the garden, the skyline was 1st Avenue shopping mall. Very quiet room, no traffic noise.
This is an old house converted to a hotel. 10 rooms. Not the usual western chain of hotel you may be used to. But it is charming, well kept, and a good experience if you are looking for a new taste.
Less than 5 mins walk to the shopping mall where we had great shopping.
Again less than 5 mins to the local coffee shops at Lebuh Presgrave where we had dinner one night. Enjoyed the food.
Up the road at 179 Lebuh Noordin in another heritage house is the Little Kitchen Nyonya where we had Penang Peranakan food on our first night. Yet another experience.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Noordin Street House. The 2 staff bent backwards to provide good service. Very affordable rate. Very good stay.
Staff could not do enough for us. Had an excellent stay. Right in the middle of the old town near bus stop. Great eatery nearby and food hawker around the corner with the best satay and cindel (dessert). garden/reading area/pool/ outdoor lounge-- has everything. nice quite relaxing accommodation.
Stayed here for 2 nightts. . Different styles of rooms to chose from, we selected the Silk room which was perfect for my family of 2 teenagers and their mother. Pool area was great to cool off after a big day sightseeing in Georgetown. Location was good for us - close to the Komtar bus terminal. Sandra on reception was friendly and efficient- checkin and checkout were simple.
Noordin Street House was a great place to stay... good staff, great attitude towards service and very unique and comfortable accommodation. The area is easy to get around in on foot and though there are few restaurants in the immediate area there are many within 10-15 min walk away.
Very friendly staff in classical old-school hotel. The rooms are very big with high ceiling. Very good price to quality ratio. I felt very good.
Handy to Heritage area and local eateries and Komtar bus station. Sandra and Nicholas were very friendly and helpful.
A beautiful place on a quiet street, great pool and roof sitting areas. Helpful and friendly staff. Loved it.
The service desk stuffs extremely helpful and friendly. Don’t expect to climb up the stairs to get to the room. Locational is great very close to Georgetown.
Friendly, super helpful staff.
Very kindly prepared an early breakfast for us on the morning we departed.
All in all I enjoyed my stay here, I would recommend it if you are looking to stay in characterful surroundings. The bed was comfortable with an elaborate mosquito net fitted to the frame of the
bed. Shower certainly was hot, although the plumbing was a little noisy. Staff very nice and
accommodating.. I ended up not wanting to use the swimming pool, although it really only needed
good filtering. The breakfast was adequate, but a little too American - never got used to having
pancakes with syrup and French toast, bread for toaster was tasteless. Would have like it to have
been a little more English, marmalade and HP sauce would have been nice!
Noordin Street House is a house converted into a hotel. There's only a small number of staff, but they are earnest and eager to help. The décor is pretty interesting, although I wish it was better maintained. Wi-Fi is a little slow, and TV only had a handful of cable channels (no news channels) Still, the hotel is in the middle of George Town and pretty near most tourist attractions.
What a great place. Theres air-con, a cooling pool, great staff and comfortable rooms. And it's close to Georgetown and plenty of the Hawker Stalls, so although you'll be in the centre of things, you will also be in an old-style town-house with friendly staff.
