Chaarya Resort & Spa - Yala

There was a very good spread of food. Thank you for letting us play at the pool table until 12 midnight . We really appreciate your service. We'll surely come next year as well

We stayed for only one night but we wanted to write a review about the 3 massuses who work there. 3 of us all had massages all at the same time from Ayeshi, Kasun and I’m sorry I can remember the other name. All 3 of us have said it is the best massages we have ever had. Highly recommend taking time out for yourself and visiting these 3 exceptional staff members

Dhammika and Mr Norman are wonderful people at the hotel. Their service was excellent. Great hospitality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Stayed as part of island tour, only one night , all very pleasant, close to national park.

A truly special hotel with the kindest staff. One especially sweet waiter called Ravidu taught me and my group some Sri Lanka phrases. The hotel has a brilliant atmosphere with a lovely pool and restaurant; with it being in close proximity to the Yala national park, allowing for easy access to safaris and wildlife hunts. If you are in Yala, Chaarya resort is a must stay!

We stayed for two nights as part of a tour. Very nice hotel and grounds. Food is good and service is excellent. We arrived on evening, spent the morning in the hotel by the pool and were the only users (hotel provided towels). Outside bar open until midnight and AC in the room was v necessary and brilliant. Food included local and European dishes and we all good as we ate both. Been to a few places in SL and around the world and would return. A little spot of paradise and ideally located close to Yala National Park

I chose this hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions i made. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly and treated with such elegance. The team had thoughtfully arranged everything so beautifully and made the evening feel incredibly special even without us requesting anything in advance.

It truly became the most memorable birthday evening. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was outstanding. A special mention to the Food and Beverages Manager Mr. Dhammika, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. He is truly a gem to the hotel.

We had a nice stay. Sadly for us just one night because we had a tour trip and needed to travel along. But we deffinatly could stay here for a longer time. The food was very good and the hospitallity of our host Ravidu was great.

I was a frequent guest to Chaarya Resort and Spa (3 times before) whenever I visit Katharagama. This time they called and said they would like to upgrade us to Chaarya Lake. It was actually a downgrade and a disappointment.
Service was bad, food was below par, and the room was surprisingly very small with insects.
I have been returning to same place frequently due to their impressive service but utterly disappointed this time and not so sure will return again

The resort is close to Yala National Park. The facilities are great and the dinner and breakfast buffet will cater to all tastes. The staff are very professional and friendly. Our waiter, Ravidu, was particularly helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a Riviera Tour, the rooms are located in small blocks & are split level so you really do need to be careful & our ground floor room we did feel a bit overlooked so the curtains had to stay closed all of the time as we were near the bar which I would say was quite noisy as was the restaurant which is to small, not a lot of space. The pool area is also very small & we found that due to the grass being watered around the sun loungers it was very muddy.

You will find lots of groups having wedding photo's taken in the grounds.

Excellent hotel . Had a great stay. Very good amenities however like most Asian hotels most of the breakfast is cold. Location was also very good.

The garden is beautifully maintained, the food is amazing, and every room offers a great view. Exceptional value for money!
