Harrogate stay
Pros:

The staff are all lovely. It was easy to book a parking space. The hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean. Location is amazing for exploring Harrogate.

Cons:

The upgraded executive breakfast was not worth the extra money in our opinion. We had eggs royale but the poached eggs were hard instead of runny. The pastries etc were not very plentiful. There was an issue with our allocated room. We got to the room and opened the door only to realise other guests were already in there...luckily they were not physically in the room at that point. The hotel sorted it quickly but from a safeguarding point this was wholly unacceptable. The hotel receptionist said sorry but there was no real acceptance of the magnitude of that mistake from her if I'm honest. I'm pretty certain the guests in that room did not become aware of the situation...we were lucky they were not there and they were lucky we weren't the kind of people who might steal their belongings.

Pros:

Das historische Gebäude hat viel Charme, die Lage in der Nähe von Zentrum, Bahnhof und Messezentrum ist top.

Cons:

Das war war in einem relativ schlechten Zustand, aber erfüllte noch den Zweck.
Sehr (!) hellhörig, schlafen ging nur mit Ohrenstöpsel.
Frühstücksbuffet lieblos und von sehr durchzogener Qualität.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Crown hotel.
Pros:

Lovely hotel. Great location. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice clean room and comfortable bed. Pre booked a parking space and were allowed to park even though we arrived a few hours earlier than check in time. Enjoyed our stay. Would certainly book again in future.

Cons:

Couldn't fault anything.

Exceptional as always
Pros:

We’ve stayed here quite a few times, we love the authenticity of the building outside and inside. The staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble for them. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Cons:

It’s difficult to say but if I had to find something it would be (and this is understandable due to the age of the building) the floorboards creak a bit! Not a deal breaker but it’s the only thing I could say other than in places the decor needs updating but can see this has started in other areas of the hotel.

Location was excellent for me as I was attendending the conference ctr but it was also great for visiting various shops and restaurants.Nice parks nearby.

SECOND VISIT AND WILL NOT BE THE LAST
Pros:

Fabulous second stay for our anniversary. The hotel, rooms, food, staff and atmosphere are all so lovely. The bar is so relaxing for a night cap after a day of exploring.
Located just off the centre in Harrogate and a 10 minute walk to both the bus and train station everything is within easy reach.
Thank you Francesca for securing the room we requested and arranging for a fridge in our room. You could not have been more helpful. See you next year.
