For a newer hotel, the rooms look beat. Lots of mold in showers. Rusted bathroom door frames. My fridge was broken. Four days arguing with then, it finally froze all my food solid! Painting done by a 2 year old, they painted tiles and mirror. Dresser was sitting on shims, but still not level enough for drawers to open. Microwave didnt have a working turntable. Lampshades had holes in them. I think this room had a wrestling match! Sure was not a room to rent out. Needs lots of work La Quinta!!!!
The staff is wonderful. They are very friendly and helpful. I was there alone at Mayo Clinic and they made sure I got everywhere I needed to. They showed me how to get around town. Very nice people.
Close to hwy, close to businesses. Rooms were relatively clean (some minor issues need to be addressed) and comfortable. Hot breakfast was served, not just continental

It was annoying to find this out at the end of making a booking.

Bugs, poor staff attitude, and lack of caring.
The title of the hotel said Mayo clinic, it is not near the Mayo clinic or hospital. It is about a 15 min drive from them. I booked this thinking it was near the clinic for a surgery in the morning. The carpets and furniture were stained and only one ice maker on the 2nd floor was working.
The rooms were a decent, comfortable size. Also very affordable.
First day of a 3 day stay, the box spring broke on one bed and they could replace or relocate me to another room. Second day the bathroom sink knob fell off..
It was a great experience.
This is a clean hotel compared to others. Keeping things updated is very important and they do okay there. Staff has been friendly and helpful. Its been frustrating as both times we've stayed our heat did not work! They did mske it right. We have stayed there frequently as we are been seen at Mayo. Wish there was more of a discount for patients.

We traveled to Rochester for a medical appointment. Staying at La Quinta was stress-free, with easy check in and out, friendly staff, delicious hot breakfast, and the most comfortable mattresses for a great restful sleep! Parking is nearby and free. The price is reasonable.
This hotel is in very poor condition. The lobby had an unpleasant odor and felt dingy. Our room smelled strongly of mold, and the drapes were visibly moldy with dirty carpets throughout. We tried opening the hallway windows for fresh air, but the employee smoking area was directly below, which made it even worse. This property is in serious need of upkeep and maintenance. Overall, it was much worse than expected.
