Pros:

Everything was great. Staff were lovely, rooms were big, very clean, and I loved the traditional design. Gardens and pool also beautiful. Less than 5 min walk to sunset beach. Saw squirrels in the trees outside our room.
The chicken satay in the restaurant is the best I've had in Bali (and I've had a lot!).

Wonderful stay at Puri Cendana!
Pros:

Perfect location near the beach and the shops .. the property was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful too. Would definitely book again to stay there. The Deluxe room was very spacious and comfortable. The massage with Agun on the premises was excellent ! Thank you

Cons:

Minimal water placed in rooms. However we received more water when we requested.
We were not given clean hand towels daily.

Heerlijke plek in Seminyak.
Pros:

De locatie in Seminyak, de heerlijke ontbijtjes en het fijne zwembad. De mensen zijn er super aardig. De kamers werden goed schoon gehouden.

Still lovely, but not as great as it used to be.

As return customers we know we wanted to stay at Puri Cendana when we booked our tickets to Bali. We had such an amazing experience the last time we were here, we remembered a tranquil place in the business of Seminyak with a lovely simple but delicious restaurant. When we read about new ownership and renovations we were quite worried. Luckily most of our worries were not necessary. It is still a lovely place, the rooms remain unchanged, clean and peaceful. The renovations to the pool are actually nice and the staff remain absolutely amazing.

Cons:

One of the main reasons for us to come back, was the kitchen. We were so looking forward to the simple and delicious Balinese food but sadly much of it has been replaced in favor of Western dishes. We also felt that the quality was lacking a bit while the prices had gone up. We understand our particular wishes might not be for everyone and that many people might enjoy the new Western approach.
One more thing we enjoyed less was the music at the restaurant/pool area. It were the same 10 songs played over and over, not so nice when you're spending a day at the pool. The gamelan music in the morning was nice though!

A great week of relaxation
Pros:

Small resort, quite relaxing, rooms very spacious and newly renovated bathrooms were great. Close to beach, shopping and restaurants. Staff friendly and willing to help with any request

Cons:

Bed was quite hard but in saying that I don’t mind a firm bed. A simply mattress topper would solve the issue. Linen quite grey but nothing too concerning.

Pleasant stay , a couple things to fix , so it could be better .
Pros:

We loved the breakfast , the food was fresh , huge portions and had some gluten free options , the location was great and the unit we had was quiet and a large size . The staff were as helpful as can be .

Cons:

The mattress was really hard so much by the third night we asked for a blanket to put on the mattress. We had a sewage smell in the bathroom , was unfortunate as the rooms looked like the bathroom was renovated recently. Also there are a large number of rooms but limited lounges around the pool .

Only stayed one night. I think a ground level room would be okay but only the deluxe rooms are updated.

The stairs to the bedroom were difficult. The bathroom was downstairs and badly in need of renovation. The towels were grey. The telephone didn’t work and the aircon was only upstairs

Pros:

wij zijn hier al zeker 5 keer eerder geweest. De locatie is geweldig! en de kamers zijn erg groot. Nu een nieuwe eigenaar en een verbouwing van het restaurant. Het is net open en het restaurant is nu erg steriel en zo ook de tafels om te eten buiten hebben minder de gezelligheid die het had. De kwaliteit van het eten is nog steeds erg goed, het zwembad is vergroot en de kamers zijn mooi geworden. Voorheen was er meer groen om heen en sfeer lampen en een pooltafel voor de gezellige avonden. Dus als dat terug komt dan is het weer zeker een 10!

Puri Cendana is a whole new world of pure bliss.
Pros:

Puri Cendana is a pure delight. I’ve been coming here since 2009 and it’s my fav hotel in Bali and I’ve been to a lot! It’s pure bliss, spend three days here and leave completely chilled. Recent refurbishments to pool and restaurant are fantastic. Do not miss this hidden gem if you visit Seminyak. 5mins walk to beach, gorgeous gardens and all the staff, every single one, are simply wonderful.
