Nice place to stay
Pros:

It was a nice room. Very comfortable. Staff were lovely. Room serviced everyday. Food from the restaurant was delicious. Highly recommend

Cons:

Didn’t like the fact the room doesn’t come with a hair dryer. First place I have stayed that didn’t supply one. Room was serviced everyday even when you put a do not disturbed sign on the door they would take it off and still knock for service. That was very annoying and when I ordered food to the room the food would come but never the drinks that were ordered with it.

Overall very good. Would definitely stay again.
Pros:

Had everything we needed. Perfect location for us. Loved that it was attached to the Hotel so we could eat at the Bistro and play pool!

Cons:

The waitstaff at the Bistro weren't great. I ordered a pizza and wasn't able to eat it all so I asked for a container to take it with me and was told, "Sorry we're not licenced for takeaway"! So I wrapped my leftover pizza up in serviettes!!! It was a bit weird!

Bare bones accommodation.
Cons:

It’s a small gripe but there were no washers/washcloths, which I found very odd. The room needed dusting and cobwebs removed as well.

The Burvale - give it a go. See a lot of suburban Melbourne when out and about on Tram Route 75
Pros:

The Burvale is my go to whenever I travel to Melbourne. Location is ideal, with so many transport options.
Tram just a small walk from Southern Cross V-Line train station, goes past The Burvale (although that is around an hour in peak times - it’s Route 75 Vermont South being 75 stops. Off peak when the tram doesn’t have to make all those stops, obviously much quicker).
For those wanting to access MCG, Rod Laver Arena and Melbourne’s big sporting arenas, this tram has stops virtually across the road. The Burvale is ideal accommodation at a value for money than inner Melbourne prices.

Cons:

The Burvale is “old style” but extremely clean; super comfy bed, with a pub style bistro onsite; again reasonably priced
