The staff were very friendly and organized. There was a large event locally and the hotel was completely booked, but the staff managed everything efficiently and with a smile!
Every staff member we encountered was great. Front desk answered all my questions. The location is prime. Around food places and close to campus. Love the room layout with couch.
Refills at breakfast could have been better. We did go at the later end items were gone.
awful. Understaffed - clogged drains in room - parking lot full - poor food service in the morning. all that for surged pricing at $500/night

Room was nice. Spacious. Clean. Beds were good. Pillows were mid. Location is awesome. Breakfast included is a plus. It was decent.
Pillows. A bit pricey for what you get.
Staff called the police after they charged my card for a room I didn’t stay in
fire alarm blinking whole night + i get room near exhaust from garage so there was noise the whole night. I had to wear noise canceling headphones.
Clean hotel in a great location. Hotel has great amenities. Rooms are spacious and accommodating. Walkable to restaurants and local attractions.
This property is incredibly understaffed. I had to wait 15–20 minutes just to get a coffee because the one person working at the reception desk was also responsible for checking guests in, making coffee, and bartending.
Each time she began making the drink, another guest would arrive to check in, forcing her to stop and return to the front desk. This cycle repeated multiple times, and by the time she finally finished my drink, it was the wrong order, likely because she was juggling so many roles at once.
Several other guests were also waiting for coffee and drinks, and some eventually gave up and left due to the wait.
This level of staffing is simply unacceptable for a hotel charging premium rates.
I was very disappointed with my stay. When paying over $800 per night, I expect a level of service and accommodations that match that price point, and unfortunately this hotel fell far short.
The hotel appeared to be severely understaffed, and it was nearly impossible to get assistance with basic issues. The HVAC system in my room was extremely loud, so loud that I couldn’t even hear the TV. I tried turning it off using the thermostat, but it continued running and never shut down.
I attempted to call the front desk using the phone in the room, but the phone didn’t work. I then had to walk down from the 7th floor to the front desk to speak with someone in person. The staff member there told me he was the only person working and that he did not know how to fix the HVAC system.
At $830 per night, guests should be able to expect functional room equipment, adequate staffing, and responsive guest services. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet the standards one would reasonably expect at this price.
This is the worst experience I have arriving at any hotel. I booked this hotel with a premium credit card Sapphire reserve 5 months in advance with a decent rate at one of the busiest weekend at Bloomington - mom's weekend at IU. This is a non-refundable booking with everything already paid for. Due to work schedule, I did not arrive at the hotel until about 11pm. To my surprise, the hotel told me that they have no available room for me and asked me to sort it out with my booking agency (aka credit card) for refund or replacement hotel somewhere else. Really? You cancel on a paid booking on date of arrival? I asked for the manager on duty and the story gets worse. The manager (she) told me overbooking is common and last minute cancel or room not available happens all the time. SAY WHAT? I asked her room not available common for what reason? Her answer was it can be many reasons including overbooking, something major broke inside a room etc. I asked her what's the reason for our last minute cancellation. She said she could not disclose it and started to be rude. She told me that I was simply waste time talking to her and should move on to find hotel options with my credit card company. Even if this not their mistake (but I am sure it is), she shows no sympathy and never really apologize. On top of it, She said you did not book with them directly so its not their responsibility to contact the customer. She claimed they have notified my booking agency that same day so its not their problem anymore. Really? The same day? And its now not your problem?
I called Sapphire reserve and of course, they said they have no knowledge of it. They offered to help me find another replacement hotel but given that's the busiest weekend and 11:30pm at night, there is nothing but a motel 8 or holiday Inn express that is 30min drive away. While I was on the call, I went to google and tried to look for hotel and it showed Hyatt have 1 room available at rate close to $1000 a night which is way more than what I have paid. So was it really they made a mistake on their booking? some room become unavailable due to unforeseen situation? or they let someone took my room since I didn't show up until after 11pm since room rate was $1000 by then? You can be the judge. Regardless, I completely lose respect to this hotel and in some way to Hyatt hotel management. Whether they overbook, made a mistake or really something unforeseen happened, own up to it instead of basically telling the customer to leave. This reservation was paid in full. It should be honored. I plan to file a complain with Hyatt and gladly share my experience with others.
This was a wonderful property, the room was very nice, breakfast was wonderful, and the location and price were in line with what we needed for this stay.
If I had to pick something to note, the parking structure was VERY tight. The entrance was a bit of an adventure as a VERY steep uphill curve. It also was very small with limited spots for parking. But that said we got in and out just fine and found a parking spot.
Great location to visit our student at IU! The staff was super friendly, and the room was nice and clean.
The sink in the bathroom was slow draining. I would have also liked an extra blanket available in the room
It was a great stay in a fun part of town.
The pillows. I need better pillows.
Convenient location very clean and great staff
