A Comfortable and Convenient Stay in Arlington Heights
Pros:

I had a very pleasant six-night stay at Motel 6 – Arlington Heights, IL – Chicago North Central. The motel is well located, making it a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area and travelling to Chicago. Its proximity to public transport was a definite advantage, making it easier to get around without relying entirely on private transportation. I appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the comfortable, practical accommodation. The overall experience was good, and the location offered convenience for both daily activities and travel around the area. The staff and facilities contributed to a satisfactory stay, making the motel a practical choice for visitors looking for affordable accommodation in the Arlington Heights area. I also loved the proximity to the Meijer Supermarket where you could easily get either cold or hot food. If you want to stretch a bit, it is only 7 - 10 minutes walk to go and get your meals there. There are also other eateries near Meijer. Make sure you get the 7-Day Ventra Pass so you can easily move around Chicago by train and Pace Bus. Actually, the Motel 6 is directly opposite the Pace Bus Headquarters.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this motel to travellers looking for clean, conveniently located and reasonably priced accommodation with good access to public transport. With a few small improvements to the morning refreshments, the experience could be even better.

Cons:

One area that could be improved is the morning tea and coffee service. While having tea and coffee available is appreciated, the experience would be much better if some light accompaniments, such as biscuits, pastries, or other simple snacks, were provided to enjoy alongside the drinks.

The floor could have been cleaner and the towels too.
The last day I found my things down and I almost lost my earplugs because of the cleaner that dropped my things.

I need a solid guarantee of a ground floor room or I can’t stay there again.
Pros:

Room was clean. Could have used a couple more pillows. The toilet is very low to the ground and there are no safety grab rails near it nor in the tub/shower. Weird french doors on the bathroom entry were a nuisance.

Cons:

I requested ground floor because I have severe mobility issues with stairs. This facility has no elevator which could have been a compromise. The clerk was indifferent about my stairs problem and offered no solution. I spent a three-night stay hobbling up and down the stairs with multiple loads, on my arthritic knees. You can’t control the traffic, I know, but there was extremely loud motorbike racing activity outside the hotel for a few hours on Thursday night. Signage outside is dim and obscured from the road by overgrowth.

The whole motel needs to be remodel

Cons:

Cleanliness needs to be worked on, found a hair ball on the ground, bathroom mirror had a big crack, and the floor was never mopped or swept.
