We stayed there for the location near the university, but I might try a different hotel next time
Pros:

Staff pleasant
Bed comfortable
lovely view from outside of hotel to river
restaurant good and restaurant service very helpful
Air conditioning in the bedroom was very good

Cons:

Noisy. do not stay in a room near the pool or the because it’ll be noise till 2 am. The other side has road noise but that’s not as bad. Even the staff were noisy (I think it was the staff) in the corridor about 10:20 pm when they were trying to mop up something.

Cant understand why they need to have the music blaring from the outdoor bar every night even if there are only 2 people there.. good luck trying to sleep.. take your earplugs!!

Overall, my stay was enjoyable. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
Pros:

No complimentary breakfast.

Cons:

Noisy bar goers. Making too much noise after bar closes. Loud drunken arguments in the car park.

Comfortable but challenging stay
Pros:

The staff were kind and considerate and professional.

Cons:

The vegetarian food options were limited
They charge even for coffee in the room which seems a rip off. Unlike other hotels they don’t give you a daily quota of a bottle of water. You have to buy it: most importantly there is a venue next door owned by the same management that plays loud music during weekdays till 12 and then on weekends till 2 am. The rooms don’t have sound option doors and if you are travelling on work, sleep is impossible.

Staff were very pleasant but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!
Pros:

I had the breakfast only once and it was fine. Chinese food was reasonable. Location was good for my purpose. Staff were very nice and helpful.

Cons:

This is not a 3 star hotel!!!! Even the local taxi drivers refer to it as "The Nightclub". It is way too noisy. Music outside (and very loud) to which many rooms face starts at 4pm everyday and goes onto 10pm - 12pm depending on the night but then they allow pool to be played for another hour or two which creates just about the same level of noise.
On two days water in the hotel stopped completely. No water pressure at all. One other day pressure was so weak you couldn't have a shower.

Avoid - for the money we paid it was definitely poor value and there would be much better choices elsewhere in Honiara
Pros:

The staff were helpful- especially when ordering a taxi.

Cons:

The bathroom was full of mould.
The air conditioning in one room didn’t work and barely worked in the bedroom
The lights in the room were broken
Dirty food plates sat on the walkway outside the neighbouring room for three days without being collected
Furniture was old dingy collapsed and poor.
Food was less than average
Pool was like a soup
Noise from music very loud
I’m not sure where they got the three star rating from, but this is generous

By comparison we went to 2 other three star hotels for dinner and drinks and the facilities, food, conditions and overall presentation of these was significantly better - I would stay at either the heritage hotel or Mendana Hotel

In house restaurant.

Cons:

Sound insulation poor. Noise from various sources. A bit industrial. Air conditioning difficult to get right. No selection of tea/coffee in room. Shower sometimes hot, sometimes just cold.
