Great if you come with family and kids. FYI the property is old, air conditioning was comfortable. Great pool great parking. Close to the beach, nice restaurants close buy. Friendly staff.

The villa we were in was very aged. The pictures that are on the website are of the newer villas. Bit disappointed.

Location is good for access to beach and restaurants. Beds not too comfortable. Didn’t receive amenities as advertised.

The hotel is quite run down especially for the price. We had cockroaches in our room and ended up having to move rooms in the night.

Great place really close to Playa Hermosa!

We had a great stay. It is easy to walk from hotel to beach and in the afternoons we enjoyed the pools. We had a villa so we cooked breakfast ourselves (there is a small grocery store next door) and sat in patio to eat. Air conditioning and hot water worked great. Note that the hotel does NOT provide any beach towels and makes you sign something promising not to bring theirs to beach. Haven’t seen this before…

Villas Huertares was a great place to stay if you are looking for something off the tourist trail. A very nice place and I especially enjoyed the option to prepare our own meals as I have a family of 6.

The check in process was easy. Infact when we checked in the A//C was malfunctioning in one of the rooms. We were swiftly moved into another room.

Gated parking with security was excellent. The whole hotel is very secure. We appreciate that.

The pool is very nice, clean well maintained. The little restaurant attached to the hotel has very good food and affordable. Nice service as well.

The rooms and condos in general were very clean and well maintained. Each bathroom was updated very nicely. The kitchen/dinning area and bedrooms are dated. Clean functional in my opinion could use an upgrade. But for the price its a fair trade off. The kitchen is stock with everything you need to cook any meal.

The walk to the beach is easy. Very nice beach i may add. As well next to the restaurant is a little super market which is very convenient for the majority of your needs.

I did not rate as a 5 believing there is always room for improvement. Overall we had a very nice stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to this area. Thank you for making our experience enjoyable.

Just and average hotel with no frills

During weekends local people come to make party until 3 am. To many people in the pool. They are gentil and polite but noisy

Beautiful hotel and beach

It was perfect for what we were looking for. Easy access to the beach and restaurants, clean and friendly property and staff, comfortable room, and affordable.

We stayed at this hotel for one night before flying home . Rude service & SO SO loud late into the night. Party hotel, I guess. It didn’t feel very safe either- every other hotel/condos around had 24 hour security- this hotel did not and didn’t feel secure.

Our room was huge, clean and had everything you’d need if you wanted to cook your own meals. The rooms had air conditioning and ceiling fans and my favourite part was the swimming pool area. Three pools, very clean and a great place to sit around and cool off.

Unfortunately I did not have the best experience at this hotel. First night had to get the front desk to help me get rid of a HUGE spider & there were cockroaches in the hotel room. It hurt to shower because the pressure was so strong. The windows are bolted shut so it feels like you are a bit of a prisoner.


Not the safest area.. I’m not sure why there are so many good reviews about playa Hermosa. I would recommend Taramindo and Flamingo
