Motel 6-Newport, RI

Upon checking into my stay, the front desk associate was nowhere to be found. There was some random guy sitting in the lobby and then he got up and started yelling her name in the hallway she came out, gave me my key and when I went upstairs, my key wasn’t working because there was somebody in the room. The room was already checked in by somebody else I went back downstairs she put me in another room. I had asked for a king room and she gave me two queens on the second floor when I had already preference first floor king room I asked for my refund back and she had told me that she didn’t want to would you like a first floor room I had let her know that I had just worked a double and had been up for almost 24 hours so I’m willing to compromise in regards to a room upon walking in the room to check it before I grab my bags in my car I go into the room. There’s a bed that was as if somebody was laying in it upon going in the bathroom the toilet seat was lifted, pee all over the toilet pee in the shower and on the bathroom sink was toothpaste and a blue liquid on the countertop I go back out to the front desk and I tell her could you take a look at this room and she asks the random guy that’s sitting in the lobby to walk with me to the room to check the room and he doesn’t say anything he goes straight to the bathroom. He comes out of the bathroom leaves the room I go back to the front desk. She says OK we’ll refund you. I wanna talk to my manager. She’s gonna refund you and I wait for my refund the manager walks right past me outside of the front door and leaves and nobody tells me anything so now I’m on the phone with Booking.com in regards to this and they’re saying that the property is not going to refund me after they told me that they were I had to sleep in my car that night because they would not refund me after telling me they were.

Room was not ready (cleaned) at 5 pm and had to wait in a cigarette smelling hall until 5:30 pm which made us late for our concert. There were other guests waiting outside thier rooms to be cleaned too. No TV remote so we were unable to turn on the TV. We tried to call down to the office but the room phone was dead. Shower leaked. Bathroom fan was unbearibly loud. Avoid this hotel!!

The ac in our room the first night didn't work and the hot water took forever to come out. The second room was fine but the beds were shy the middle blanket and it was cold!

Booking.com booked me into a smoking room and when I arrived they told me that this happens all the time with booking.com. due to my asthma I couldn't stay in a smoking room so I had to leave. I worked very hard to try to get a refund but was still charged the full amount. Nobody gave me any help from booking.com and motel 6 was completely unresponsive. I won't ever use booking.com again and obviously, will never stay at this establishment again

There was wicked stinky dog pee on the wall. It was a non-smoking room but reeked of cigarettes. Leaky bathtub faucet was annoying. Back door didn't recognize my key card. The entire place had an awful smell.

Everything about this hotel was awful. It should be shut down. It is not acceptable conditions for anyone

The soda vending machine was broken, no sign on it when asked the desk associate was informed it’s been broke for a few weeks now. Patches holes in walls, towel rack so loose didn’t hang anything on it bc it was that loose. Lack of cleanliness and appearance when you walk in. Staff was friendly but no one answered when we called for an extra blanket

I had made 2 reservation at this hotel and when I got to the hotel, they told me that one reservation would not be available. Why was this reservation not available when I had already paid for it. Worse hotel stay of my 74 years. Will never stay with you guys again!

Please refund me my money for the second reservation, you did not honor it!

They should make all entrances and exits wheelchair accessible. Back door key reader didn’t work.
No housekeeping if staying multiple days.

They had given my room away. The parking lot was filled with trash. The hotel itself did not look clean. The room they gave me smelled so strongly of smoke. I could not even stay in there. There were no simple amenities like shampoo conditioner, and there was one tiny bar of soap for both the hand washing and bathing.

The hotel looked decent on line but in person it was extremely run down. We walked in and the tv was on but there was no remote control. We checked in around 4pm and checked out around 9pm. There was a police officer in the parking lot moving around which gave us a bad feeling of not being safe.also when we got there a man was sitting on his tailgate of his truck drinking alcohol and was there when we returned from dinner around 8:45.welove newport but this place was not somewhere we would ever sleep overnight and we felt forced to leave.between the other guests,the man drinking by the entrance on his truck and the police presence we definitely felt the need to leave and drive home.we lost our money which did not make us happy.
