Average seaside hotel. Close to beach parade. 10 mins walk to town. Nothing special about the all inclusive deals. The best place is the beach pizza grill hut. Freshly cooked pizza and doner kebab. Very good black turkish tea. Beach is only opposite the hotel. Very easy to access.
I am currently staying here and will write a full review later but I want to say thank you to the young man on reception for helping me on my arrival, they didn’t have a booking for me although I booked the whole thing via EasyJet holidays
He was professional and checked me in- unfortunately the room was poor, when I went to say that he acknowledged my concerns and said that the hotel was full that night but the following morning he would move me as people vacated the hotel
The next morning true to his word he did this by mid day and the room was so much better, he text me when it was ready, really good customer service thank you
So there are plenty of 1 star reviews and 5 star reviews about this hotel .If your travel company sold you the holiday and told you it was a 5 star hotel they maybe should have told you it was a 5 star by Turkish standards and not British standards there is a big difference ,Jet 2 advertise the hotel as 3 star plus which i would say is about right .My wife and me have visited Turkey 11 times in 9 different hotels and locations this was the most expensive of all those holidays Diamond of Bodrum comes in at number 7 out of 9 in terms of everything you would expect .The location is without doubt the best we have ever had that is where it ends .Staff and service was average the two lads in the rooftop bar were excellent the indonesian girls in the restaurant were great most of the others were pleasent to downright miserable .Pool area broken sunbeds and brollies pool looked clean but was full of sand and dirt and was never cleaned in two weeks we were there . The beach, again broken sunbeds and brollies cig butts broken glass etc all over and never cleaned the sea was clean enough loads of stray dogs so not great .The room we upgraded to a seaview which was excellent, cleaning was ok but a bit hit and miss air con was rubbish made little difference to the room temperature there was no kettle or tea and coffee .Food was quite good with plenty of choice but was not hot enough for example scrambled egg at breakfast was out at 7am and was still there at 8.30 stone cold There were loads of cats running about and begging for food not very hygenic and bearing in mind someone died of rabies from a cat scratch in the UK which was picked up abroad not safe either . Drinks vodka and Gin were brand names the rest was vodka based with flavouring, measurments were generous .I would say taking everything into account this holiday was over priced by around by £ 800 for two weeks very poor value for money the only reason i gave 3 stars was because of the location .
I'm not sure who and when rated this hotel as 5 star... everything is dated there. We got a room with 2 beds which resembled prison beds or something in a camp. I don't think I have ever slept on a bed like that since I was at school. The bed was so hard it gave me back pain. The bathroom looked like it's been last decorated in the 80s. Tatty and worn, also tiny. The air conditioning didn't work and even when it wasn't hot outside, it was a furnace at night. No air.The WiFi situation was ridiculous, I had to keep signing in over and over again, as it would throw me out every couple of minutes. Ended up having to use roaming. When the WiFi was connected ,it was unusable most of the time.
We only had breakfast included( thank god), it wasn't great. The food was terrible. I ended up only going for coffee. It was off season, and even so there was only 2 coffee machines and queue to get coffee.
I can imagine in season it would be impossible to get any beds by pool or on the beach. The beach is dirty. As an animal lover, I did not mind the beach dogs and was looking after them, also the cats in the main restaurant.
I didn't have any issues with staff, everyone was perfectly polite and helpful.
I don't understand how this hotel has many good revues here, that must be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at( including 4 star in the past!). The only good thing about it was the location.
Exceptional Service and an Unforgettable Stay at Diamond Hotel Bodrum
I would wholeheartedly recommend the Diamond Hotel in Bodrum, not only for its superb facilities and charming location but, above all, for the exceptional quality of service we had the pleasure of experiencing during our stay.
The entire hotel staff deserves the highest praise for their professionalism, politeness, and willingness to assist, which truly made us feel well taken care of and comfortable.
My special thanks go to the waiter, Burhan. He is an excellent young man whose work in the restaurant was a true pleasure to watch and taste. Burhan is incredibly attentive, quick, and always smiling. With remarkable grace and precision, he looked after our table, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. His positive energy and professionalism are a true credit to the hotel.
Thanks to staff like Burhan and the rest of the team, our holiday at the Diamond Hotel was unforgettable. It is definitely a place I would love to return to.
Highly recommended!
My boyfriend and I booked 1 week all inclusive here, we booked in June to stay in September. In July I emailed the hotel 3 times requesting a room upgrade, no acknowledgment or response from the reservation team. I end up having to call Turkey from Ireland to speak to reservations, I was told my request was promised and it was on the booking that we are upgraded and we can pay the remaining on arrival. Arrived to the hotel
and there was no upgrade request noted on file, I explained to the receptions that I had organised all of this 2 months prior.
We spend 1 night in a room with a window as small as a shoe box, no natural light no air, it was horrific. We finally got upgraded but not to what we had originally requested.
The room was ok, bathroom was very outdated, rusty handles and the shower was horrific.
The complimentary drinks fridge was never restocked for the whole week we were there, not once. There was dirty towels in the bottom of the wardrobe, they were from the previous guests staying there before us, those towels stayed in the wardrobe for the whole week. One day the room wasn’t cleaned which is fine it wasn’t necessary dirty but we needed clean towels, I called reception twice requesting clean towels, they arrived 2 hours later. By that point we had used our dirty towels to shower as 2 hours is a long time to wait for a towel.
The aircon was shockingly bad, it sounded like a tractor therefore we could not have it on during the night as you cannot sleep with the noise.
The food was ok, the main restaurant didn’t serve anything appealing and if it did it was cold every single time.
The grill outside by the pool was nice.
The pool situation is terrible, it says that the pool is not open until 9am, however people were leaving their towels down at all hours of the morning and the staff didn’t do anything even if the claimed beds were unoccupied for the whole day. We got to sit at the pool only once in the whole week, because I deliberately had to set my alarm for 6am to put a towel down, I didn’t want to do it but how else was I going to actually get to enjoy my holiday. Again, I sat at the pool ONCE because of this situation. The private beach section was the same issue.
I found the reception team terrible, they were not accommodating or attentive or helpful. However the restaurant staff and cleaning staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Overall I will not return to diamond of bodrum again, I will stick to the hotel I normally go to in kusadasi which is a real 5 star hotel with exceptional service and cleanliness.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment following my recent stay at your hotel in Turkey last week, which was booked as an all-inclusive holiday. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of the basic standards one would expect — let alone those advertised.
Accommodation Issues:
The bathroom facilities were in extremely poor condition. The shower hose was faulty and spat water out erratically, making it almost unusable.
The toilet seat was broken and the toilet itself was clearly old, stained, and unclean.
There was visible mold in the bathroom, and general dirt and grime around the edges of the room, not acceptable under any circumstances.
Food & Hygiene Concerns:
The food quality was appalling. Items were frequently cold or barely lukewarm, and in some cases, inappropriate for the meal (e.g., Brussels sprouts served at breakfast).
I witnessed ants crawling in the grill section, and more disturbingly, large insects on the food, including one that appeared to be laying or injecting something into the food.
The lack of hygiene and food safety meant I felt only safe eating toast for breakfast, and despite being all-inclusive, we had to eat out most days.
Facilities:
The spa and indoor pool were run down and visibly dirty, with dirt clearly visible on the bottom of the pool. The wooden decking around the pool was unsafe and hazardous.
At 5:30pm daily, we were told to vacate the outdoor pool area, despite many guests still enjoying the space.
There were signs stating “no towels on sunbeds” to prevent early reserving, yet we observed people doing this as early as 1:00am, with no enforcement by staff.
Beach Area:
The beach was filthy, littered with cigarette butts, and there was a strong smell of animal waste, likely due to the high number of stray cats and dogs.
Shockingly, during lunch, a stray cat jumped onto my back, actually drawing blood — this is completely unacceptable in any hospitality setting, especially in a dining area.
Entertainment and Atmosphere:
Entertainment was limited and lackluster, only offered a few nights a week.
Guests were removed from the pool area at 11:00pm for cleaning, further limiting enjoyment.
This holiday was a considerable investment and we expected at the very least basic cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene, all of which were severely lacking.
I was almost put off from booking here due to all of the bad reviews, but this really is a lovely hotel in a perfect location! There are somethings that need improvement, bathrooms need updating, pool needs cleaning and the 2330 nonexistent buffet needs addressing. But if your looking for a well priced all inclusive that is clean and has friendly staff with good food options and real spirits on the drink offerings too then this place was perfect! I would definitely return
Family holiday from 06/09 to 13/09/2025
We had absolutely fantastic holidays in Bodrum. Booked though loveholiday company. We stayed at the Dimond of Bodrum hotel. When we arrived to the lobby, we meet a few staff members, smiling and very polite, they helped us with a luggage. Check in was extremely fast, then we were welcomed in the lobby bar, where the bar staff offered us a few drinks. Coming to the room (Double Or Twin Sea View Balcony Or Terrace) we were absolutely surprised with amazing sea view. Room was clean, bathroom looks a bit old and tired, but clean and suitable for our needs. Everyday cleaning, towels changing, drinking water and soft drinks in the room. Air-conditioning working ok, but anyway was so warm in the room. Food was served in the restaurant and at the outside grill bar. Daily menu was very nice and different . We tried to try a local dishes as much as possible 😁
Excellent service! We very thankful for all the staff for all help and support.
Last day my daughter and I were enjoying hammam bath/sauna treatment. We take a complex of a few treatments including sauna, hammam bath, peeling, massage and facial mask. Fantastic 😍 Very recommended!
Poor area. Good, only thing, is a shortage of a sun beds at the pool and at the beach. Some sun umbrellas was broken, but staff members always ready to help. The same at the sea beach. If you was late and don't have a sunbed, don't panic, just let know a staff, they will be sorting it.
At the evening you can enjoy a live music, some entertainment and dancing. Even if you feel bored, in the town you will be found a lot of different entertainments, music, markets and bars 🍻
The only disappointment was the refusal of late check out. Especially the weather conditions+ 34°, and late evening transfer. But we still was able to use all pools, beach and bars/restaurants
We stayed here 2 years ago and it was amazing, very clean ,staff always cleaning everywhere, this year has been a massive let down, place is filthy, haven’t seen one cleaner cleaning pool area corridors etc,we had a Chinese lad supposed to be coeaning our room ,everyday he asked for you need cleaning today, surely that’s standard procedure ,clean towel etc ,ants are everywhere, everywhere is filthy, literally had some grapes from restaurant been eating out everyday ,I know everyone has their own expectations but mine were of the experience we had 2 years ago not what we got .
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in Turkey. To start, both my friend and I fell violently ill after eating their food, we refused to touch it again. The pool area was consistently neglected, with no towels ever available and guests left waiting endlessly. The toilets didn’t even flush properly.
The most appalling part, however, was the blatant racism. The staff openly discriminated against people of colour, not only did we experience it ourselves, but we also witnessed another couple endure the same degrading treatment. The difference in how POC were treated compared to others was glaring, deliberate, and completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the pool reeked of urine.
I could go on listing the failures, but the truth is simple: there is absolutely nothing redeeming about this place. It is a disgrace, and far from a “diamond” or the rating they show in-front of a building.
Bad hotel smell in rooms
staff was good helpful
food not good everyday the same not enough options 😕
Rooms so small showers don't work 😒
Hôtel qui n’a rien avoir avec un 5 étoiles.
Amazing vaccation in this hotel
The hotel was dated and dirty
Fortunately I wasn’t all inclusive as the breakfast was discusting
I booked 6 days before departure, due to horrific reviews of my original hotel (Alexander the great resort and spa) . Due to booking late, I chose the economy room, which although without balcony, was clean and had everything we needed. The air conditioning was cold, the beds comfortable, with spotless white cotton bedding and towels. We were kindly offered an alternative room as soon as one was available the 2nd day. Staff were fabulous! They even arranged take-out breakfast for our trip to Ephesus due to early start. The resort is VERY clean and the all inclusive is one of the best I've experienced in Turkey. Every meal was delicious. All drinks were included, even Aperol Spritz, cocktails and imported spirits such as captain Morgan's. We only used the a la cart restaurant once during our stay (if staying more than 5 days you can use for free) We found the food in the main restaurant more to our taste. We also found that the staff around the main restaurant and pool more welcoming. The views from level 6 & 7 bars are incredible. And Hedera makes the best cocktails. Beautiful sunsets and harbour lights. And the Hamam is very authentic. My partner LOVED the gym. Its a real weight lifting gym, with showers, changing rooms, sauna etc. Mert was so helpful ensuring we had everything we needed each evening, and showed real Turkish hospitality. The beach is directly in front of the hotel. With Crystal clear wster. We will definitely return here, but next time would probably stay 2 weeks rather than 1.
We attended as a family. This is not a family hotel as advertised and this was confirmed by hotel relations that this needs amendment to the advert.
The food was mainly Turkish dishes asides from chips. I appreciate being in turkey and we like exploring culteral dishes but expected more continental dishes to compliment. Therr was one hot trolley of 8 dishes, the rest fruit and salad. The food was not quality tasting and as we are regulsr turkey attendees, the tukrish food was bland and on many occasions undesirable. The food was uncovered and had flys landing all over it. The snack bar was a saviour 12-5 for fresh cooked burgers, pizza and pasta. The shop was extortionate but is a convenience store and to be expected - we used migros down the road.
There was "entertainment" 4 evenings of the week, 2 nights of a 30 minute live music, 1 night dance show 30 minutes, 1 turksih night 1.5 hours. That does not constitute to an entertainment programme which begins at 9pm.
We borrowed an iron with a 30 minute time frame - the iron was faulty, spluttered out boiling water burning me and then tripped all the electric in the room - credit where credita due, an engineer arrived in minutes confiscating the iron and brought back the electric.
The shop ice cream freezer... wow! Myself and the 6 year old with us were electrocuted multiple times yet when raised this with the shop owner he confidently saod its because we didnt have flip flops on. Health and safety at its best. For a allegedly 5 star hotel, ive stayed in better 2 star propertys.
Our room was out dated and we given a gesture of good will change -
All the rooms are very small and the balcony has room for 2 dinning chairs only. The only change was vanity bench. The aircon is loud and useless as its internally looped as opposed to individual rooms. It blows out warm out and cooler with the door open.
The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh beding and the only rhing i cannot raise any issues with. The beds are rock hard but this is not a hotel issue and is a preference of the sleeper. For me, it ruined my back and I struggled to sleep.
The soft drink pipes needed cleaning as they tasted very chemically. The cocktails were never thensame tasting and the coffee awfull considering Turkey are renowned for thie coffee. We brough nescafe sachets and used hot water. Bottled water available throughout from fridges which was great.
The pool was small and there was a great deal of sand, stones and dort at the bottom from under foot being walked in but ive never experienced a pool like it before.
The hotel overall requires reapair and renovation. Glass screens are broken and shattered on the terrace bar, in the pool, a glass panel fell off and luckily fell backwards and not forward into the pool or worse, it was not a screen around the childs pool. We borrowed an iron with a 30 minute allowance which was faulty, burnt us and then tripped our electric! The shop freezer gave myself and our 6 year old multiple electric shocks and the store worker simply said this was because we wasnt wearinf flip flops. Someone will end up seriously hurt with this mentality.
We are not by far snobby or have ridiculous expectations. We saved up to specially try a 5 star hotel and have been extremely disappointed and wish we had stuck to our usual 2/3 star and our expectations would not have been higher.
Very good location - can walk from the hotel straight to the centre of Bodrum bar street and restaurants and shops easily. A very nice walk.
Sunbeds were another issue as they are in most hotels. The beds wre all reserved and theres a sign to state non return after 1 hour and you loose your reservation which i thpught was great although we had sat eaiting for availability and beds qere held reserved all day and the pool staff said we were not able to remove towels for their guests.
The hotel caters and is very welcoming of Turkish nationals and that may just be because the language barrier. We didnt feel overly welcome and were dismissed alot of the time. Particularly around drinks and meal times and stood queing for long periods of time where Turksih nationals were catered for above us.
The hotel pool showers we used on transfer day were broken and spraying water all over the place, a simple easy fix but another disheartening issue of a sinple shower before travelling home.
The hotel overall was a scraping the barrel "ok" as a sleeping base and had we not spent more money to have a more luxery 5 star holiday, this would have been fine. We opted for a 5 star luxury all inclusive package and had to spent a significant amount of money further to eat out and find family and entertainment. Its a massive learning curve for us. We booked with EasyJet rating this 5 star, upon further looking jet 2 rate this 3 star.
Very poor air conditioning almost just a fan I could find myself sweating after a shower considering aircon was turned on fully we complained about it they came almost no change at all
Talking to the people staying on the same hotel they all had the same problem
No aircon in the lifts sometimes 6 people together and staying longer than 5 minutes felling almost suffocating
Main restaurant area no aircon either maybe just a fan ,eating out food and using handfan was not fan at all
Also very poor choice of food we are a big fan of Turkish food but all we got was stuffed peppers almost every day
Liver once a week that was also burnt as well as the meat balls all crumbled and also burnt
Poor choice of deserts
We are just of the time outside considering that was supposed to be an all inclusive deal!!!!!
Also heard also almost everyone complaining about the same issues this hotel is max 3 star nothing more
We also complained about this to the reception and we won’t be back!!!! I would not recommend this hotel anyone unless they wanna be punished on hit summer days under the heat of 40C!!!!!!
A great little hotel. Good service, clean and friendly staff. Will be back. The location provides really easy access into the town centre which is a great short walk
Awful I’ve been a regular client of this hotel and it’s very sad to say the property is getting old and it is not maintained well. Old and tired needs a major remodeling immediately.
The lobby use to have windows that would open wide to allow air flow. They replaced the old windows with cheap picture windows that doesn’t open. How stupid the MAIN LOBBY is hot humid and smells stuffy. It’s so hot in the middle of July it was awful.
