We were right on the old port with many dining options. A fun area! The staff was excellent - professional and friendly. We had breakfast delivered to our room. It was excellent.

Pretty room overlooking the harbour . Staff v helpful. Not ideal if you can’t carry luggage upstairs although reception helped with that too

Great spot if you want to be part of the vibrant culture in La Rochelle. Staff are welcoming and offer to help in any way they can. Would book a third time for sure.

Great location, especially when you have a view overlooking the water. Little loud at times from the busy streets, but overall a great place to stay. Stayed here before and will do it again when we return.

This lovely hotel couldn’t be situated in a more enviable location with prime views of Port Vieux.

You enter through a doorway nestled between two restaurants and climb 2 flights of stairs to get to reception which is manned between 3pm and 8pm. The welcome was warm and friendly and we were kindly helped with our luggage to our room. There is no lift so travel light especially if like us you were on the top floor.

Our room was lovely, spacious and very well equipped. Our large bathroom had a glass half wall between it and the bedroom which may not suit some guests. The bed was super comfy with quality crisp linen and good pillows. There is a table and chairs looking out over the port, the perfect place to relax with a coffee or even a glass of wine taking in the stunning view.

Breakfast is served in the room at your agreed time, we upgraded our breakfast to included ham/cheese and eggs along with the continental selection. Very tasty and good value, really set us up for the day.

The hotel is small and well equipped, there isn’t a bar or communal area however with us only staying 2 nights it really wasn’t an issue for us.

Great stay, climbing 4 flights of stairs was absolutely worth it for the fabulous view.

Hotel La Marine is centrally located in the heart of La Rochelle’s old port, just above the iconic promenade and easily accessible from the train station. The hotel faces the harbor, offering a scenic and vibrant atmosphere.

Despite being on a busy street, the room was well soundproofed thanks to double-glazed windows. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, offering great local tips and recommendations. Although the building is historic, it has been recently and tastefully modernized.

We weren’t able to connect to the WiFi from our room, despite it being available. Also, there was no mini bar fridge (to store food) or bottled water to drink.

All in all, it’s a Bead and Breakfast, with not much amenities. It’s a great place to stay in La Rochelle, especially for its cleanliness, modern design, and unbeatable location.

The host and staff were friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations.
But….This is not a simple hotel if you are elderly. The parking was about 5blocks away and difficult to find. There are 2 very long ,narrow , steep flights of stairs. The room is very small.,but clean.

Great central location, fab view over the Vieux Port from our room. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.

Really nice place on the waterfront

Comfortable hotel with a great position and view. Clean and well equipped. Breakfast good.

We arrived late and exhausted after a long Motorcycle journey. Vincent was incredibly kind helpful and went over and above to help us find safe parking and he stayed late to ensure we found the hotel and we’re settled I. Our lovely room. The room was quiet as at the back and the bed was so comfortable! All facilities are modern and clean. We over slept but Ursula was so kind and arranged late check out for us. We were able to leave our bike gear behind reception after check out so that we could have lunch out at our leisure. This hotel was a fabulous find and in a perfect location on the quay. Wonderful friendly helpful staff and clean lovely room and facilities. Highly recommend.
