Antique Roman Palace Museum Hotel - Adults Only Ultra All Inclusive

A truly disappointing experience at this hotel. It has nothing to do with 5-star standards – realistically, it would hardly qualify as a 3-star property at best. The place mainly caters to guests aged 60+. The all-inclusive food is, at most, passable, with very few options. Live music goes on until midnight right under our balcony, making it impossible to rest. The hotel hasn’t been renovated in at least 10 years, and it’s unacceptable to charge €200 per night for such conditions. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel.

Its a really good hotel for the price. My favorite part of the hotel is the agora bar, where you could order drinks 24/7 and foods 11-18. The food there in my opinon where much better than at the buffet. Since the hotel had two pools and sunbeds at the beach there were no war over sunbeds in the morning i usually came to the pool around 9 and it was often completely empty.

If i have to complain about something it is
Poor sound proofing in the rooms, the neighbour hotel were very loud.

Even though the personal was really nice it was a hard time comunicating in english.

Maybe how to pool area is layed located on the western side of the hotel which puts it in the shadow until about 12.

But nothing to complain about since the low price

Alanya merkez, kale, yürüyerek 30-40 dak mesafe. Otobüs otel önünden geçiyor.

Önemli; Elinizde tabakla oturacak masa aramıyorsunuz! Yemek saatleri dışında, 24 sa. yiyecek birşeyler bulabiliyorsunuz.

Denize gitmek için uzuuuuun uzun yollardan geçmiyorsunuz. Deniz 2 dak mesafede. Havuz küçük sayılır ama kalabalık olmuyor.

Çocuk yok gibi, kaydırak vb yok. Doğal olarak ses te yok!
Gençler havuzda su voleybolu oynuyorlar o kadar. Biraz daha aktivite eklense iyi olur!
Akşam üstü ve akşam canlı müzik oluyor.

Özel plajı ve plaj büfesi var. Alanya denizi çoğunlukla dalgalı oluyor ama su çok temiz.

Çok rahat ettik.
Tekrar geleceğimizi düşünüyorum.

My friend and I stayed at Antique Roman Palace for 7 days to celebrate the end of the summer exams at our University in Denmark, and we absolutely loved it! Our original plan was to explore different restaurants around Alanya for dinner, but after tasting the hotel’s food, we ended up eating almost every single meal there (except for one quick street food outing). The food was fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and with plenty of variety. As all-inclusive guests, we were truly spoiled, and we have to give big kudos to the kitchen staff and chefs!

On two occasions, the hotel even served traditional Turkish cuisine, likely because a large group of Turkish guests had arrived — and wow, it was delicious. Those were some of our favorite meals of the trip.

Our room was clean, modern, and well-equipped with a smart TV and fully functioning AC. After our first night, we asked to change rooms as we had been given a room with one double bed. The staff quickly upgraded us to a room on the 4th floor with a spectacular view of the Mediterranean and Alanya city center. It was stunning!

A special shout-out to Ahmet at the reception — always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with even the smallest requests. He made a real difference.

Yes, there is a bit of noise from neighboring hotels' entertainment programs in the evening, but it usually stops around 11 PM. For us, it just added to the holiday vibes — good music and atmosphere. The hotel’s own entertainment was also very enjoyable. One evening featured a violinist, while other nights had two amazing singers. One night, a few of the guests even arranged their own impromptu Turkish music session — and it fit the setting perfectly.

The bar was great too. While the selection of included alcohol isn’t top-shelf, you can pay extra for premium brands. Still, the cocktails that bartender Ömer made were excellent — and his warm hospitality made us feel like we were at our favorite bar back home. He always had a drink and a friendly chat ready — sometimes even a cigarette if you needed one.

The restaurant, bar, and pool staff were generally fast, friendly, and attentive — quickly clearing plates and making sure no one waited too long.

The only downside was on our first day. We visited the gym area and were approached by a man who aggressively tried to push us into booking a massage right away, even though we had just arrived and were just looking around. It seemed like he was renting the space privately and wasn’t actual hotel staff. Luckily, we didn’t see him again after that — and everything else about our stay was perfect.

We truly felt at home here. So much so that we’re already thinking about coming back for a week or more in August. Highly recommend!

🛏️ Room
The rooms are very compact, and it was evident that the last renovation was done about 10 years ago. However, both the rooms and the common areas were clean and well-maintained.

🍽️ Food
The food was mediocre — repetitive and lacked flavor. The snack bar offered low-quality items, and whenever multiple snacks were ordered, some were consistently forgotten with the excuse that the bar was about to close. Drinks at the main bar were decent, depending heavily on the bartender.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Staff
The staff was polite, but the overall service level was low. Their main focus seemed to be clearing tables as quickly as possible rather than offering friendly, attentive service.

🎭 Entertainment
Although the hotel advertises evening shows and a disco (since it brands itself as 16+), there were no shows during our entire 8-night stay. When we asked about the disco, we were told the space was “under renovation.” No daytime activities were offered either.

🌊 Location
The only real highlight was the location — the beach is directly across the street, and non-alcoholic drinks were available at the beach bar.

💬 Summary
Unfortunately, the hotel did not match its description, and we will not be returning. Not recommended for guests seeking entertainment, variety in food, or a lively atmosphere. Based on our experience, the hotel is more suited for a 60+ audience than for active adults.

The hotel is small but very clean . A minority of staff are attentive, and special thanks go to Isa, who made our stay a bit more comfortable. Food is OK, lukewarm. Not much choice, more catered for the Russians, which the hotel was full off. Management only seemed to speak to them. ?. Snack bar was only ever good on a Monday when the lady was cooking. Other times, it was burnt to a crisp. Ice creams are only available from 3 p.m., and we had to ask for the freezer to be unlocked.
The hotel is next to a family hotel, very noisy. Their entertainment was very loud. We had a singer and a violinist. You could not hear the violinist as she was drowned out by next-door entertainment.
You had a choice of cocktails, but they differed every night, depending on who made them.
Bedrooms are small with a small balcony.

The hotel is very nice and clean but apart from that my experience was very poor.

The 24 hour outside bar served warm wine and very poor cocktails and has many periods where it is understaffed of isn’t staffed at all.

The food at the snack bar was either not cooked, over cooked or completely different to what I ordered and they were constantly running out of different food and drinks for days. Ice creams are unavailable till 3pm and only available for a few hours and they won’t unlock the freezer before.

The pool bar wasn’t open once. The restaurant served pretty much the same average food everyday. The A la carte was average. The evening entertainment was every other day but could hardly hear it as the hotel entertainment next door is very loud.

The beach bar? There isn’t one but there is 1 guy who would walk around occasionally offering only beer and the sun loungers are old, ripped or broken.

That being said there is one guy that starts at 9pm called Semih who is amazing at his job and very well experienced who would go above and beyond to help, give me amazing cocktails which some of them not being on the menu and the manager told him off for doing this.

The staff are all very nice and polite but need training and the young male manager sadly needs sacking. This place has so much potential.

We came here for a cheap hotel in an adult only hotel.Our room was small but adequate with good air con and great shower. The food was varied and of good quality on the whole. The hotel was nice,clean and tidy. Staff very impersonal to be honest..night entertainment very limited..snacks and ice cream are excellent .There is a ɓeach over the road and the guys are very helpful in getting you a sunbed which are free as is the drinks for the hotel customers. Alot of the beds are ɓroken so they need to address this. Even in October the sea was lovely and warm unlike the freezing cold pool which took your breath away!! Always able to get a sunbed though

Very nice hotel, good food, pleasant staff. But for being an adult only hotel, I think they should isolate the rooms more. The whole hallway must’ve heard us at night, which is probably unpleasant for other guests visiting and not wanting to hear others making love.

Location - 2.5 hour transfer from airport but ideal for beach. Over an hours walk to the harbour, no shuttle bus.
Note if you book a shuttle transfer back to the airport it is your responsibility to get back to the airport on time even though the shuttle service determine your transfer back time.

Food - Generally acceptable, wide and varied selection for a small hotel but being buffet style some foods were at times lukewarm. We arrived around 1am - soup was available. Restaurant for dinner closes at 20.30 and you’re asked to leave by 20.45 so most people are eating at 19.00.

Drink - Local brands only but more than satisfactory standard and options . There are around a dozen choices of cocktails . Beer and soft drinks free on beach. 24 hour bar but not abused by clientele. The bar is outside.

Beach - Directly opposite hotel after crossing a busy main road. Be careful , much of the traffic does not give way. Once you reach the otherside the pavement is wide but the first lane is a cycle lane and if you don’t look one may hit you. Free sun beds. Beach is sand and shale. Sea temperature in late September was warm, no sea shoes required. Red flag most days but plenty of people swimming in designated area until around 6pm.

Entertainment - Very little both day and night. A couple of bars nearby with live music . No information posted about entertainment, excursions etc

Rooms- Clean and a suitable size , all have a very small balcony, 2 chairs but no table or room for one. Sea view only likely to be seen from front facing third and fourth floor rooms.

Excursions- Plenty of agents in surrounding streets - excursions are limited but offer good value.

Other - Very clean throughout , staff friendly , adult only hotel .
Pool in shade most of the day so little used as water quite cold.

Weather - Late September- mid Oct - 30 degrees in day , mid twenties in the evening. No mosquitoe bites !

Overall probably a 3.5-4 star hotel rather than 5 star but this is reflected in the price and we considered it excellent value for the money we paid.

We chose this hotel because it is all inclusive and adult only. Rooms are ok the staffs are friendly. We would appreciate a better food labelling . It could be some non smoking areas outside . The noise from chasing hotel was annoying. We would recommend this hotel to other people.

We choose this hotel because of the design of hotel . And its all inclusive you have every thing free . No children to disturb you. We liked the service and the staffs all friendly. We were so satisfied with the vacation and gonna come here again

Hotel is shabby, the younger staff are polite, older staff can be quite snotty, the dunks are of poor quality! Asked for a vaults was told I would have to pay and he would sort the bill with me later! ; double Baileys he tried to charge over £70.00, gave him £40! (Didn’t even have a cheap version along with no brandy) friends left a packet and a half of cigarettes on the table (we where last to leave) next day barman said he put them in the bin. Snack bar often ran out of food, if you asked for French fries if she was cooking wedges for another customer you got wedges!
Food in restaurant can only be described as slops, quite often with flies on it, salad always tasted stale. Seen one of the cooks go in to the toilet with his apron on!
A La Carte meal was not bad but hadn’t even finished eating cheese and dips when waiter put the soup on the plate I was eating off, he did this with every course and the average time from sitting down to leaving was 35 mins for 5 courses then coffee! The hotel is shambolic and is more of a 3 star, this is the worst hotel I have stayed in Turkey! To say I am deeply disappointed is mild

I can recomend this hotel for everything, stuff is realu helpful and lovely, food is fresh and good, bars are working all the time so you cannot miss anything, i would realu love to come back here sometime with for example a girlfriend cause we soulu definitywny spend quality time in here

Otel genel itibariyle gayet güzel ve şıktı. Bana göre otel ileri yaş oteli eğlenceli müzikler vs yoktu. Yan otel daha genç kesime hitap ediyor. Tertemiz ve personeller gayet ilgili ve güler yüzlüydü. Hiç bir problem ve kötü bi durumla karşılaşmadık. Tam kafa dinlemelik sakin bir otel. Havuzu küçük ama tertemiz ve çok erken gölge düşüyordu. Odalar biraz küçüktü. Yemekleri güzeldi ama tatlıları denemenizi bile tavsiye etmem.
