Все было прекрасно! Сам отель и персонал на высшем уровне
Особенная благодарность Guest relations warishah so kind and helpful also reception staff Eren and sultan we are so happy also Bryam.
The only positive of the hotel was the location.
First of all, I’m not sure who awarded this hotel 5 stars but it is 2-3 stars at best. The room we had was incredibly dirty. The shower had an unacceptable amount of mould and there was slime and thick limescale buildup around the taps. To top it off there was a cup left in the bathroom that had slime in the bottom. I told staff about this and they failed to even replace it throughout the 4 days we were there. There was also a thick layer of dust on all surfaces throughout the room and the glasses and kettle had obviously not been cleaned recently. The worst part of the stay was the complete lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We stayed on the 5th floor and had a lift directly outside our room and could hear every single level being announced on the way down all night and day long. We requested to change rooms however, when we were showed a new room it was clear that none of the rooms had sufficient soundproofing. The staff also gave off the impression that they were well aware of all the issues that were going on so I’m assuming management is a nightmare. The final nail in the coffin was the breakfast. If you do decide to stay here I STRONGLY recommend to avoid it at all costs. To say the food was awful would be an understatement. Everything was dry, overcooked and stale. The eggs were particularly horrendous and overcooked to an offensive degree and all fruit and vegetables looked like they’d been sitting in the sun for several days. All in all, if you value your sleep, enjoy a nice breakfast and prefer not to contract airborne mould related illnesses I would strongly advise against staying at the Sura Haga Sophia hotel.
The new operation manager and the guest relation manager were outstanding when it comes to customer care
The reception staff were ignorant and very rude. One hung up on me. Coincidentally, I saw another customer having a go at the same rude staff the next day!
The location was perfect and facilities are too notch. All staff were helpful particularly Warisha from guest relations department. Highly recommended
Hi, everyone. I honestly cannot recall a single occasion when I was this completely convinced that I should talk everyone out of choosing a hotel. This is that exception.
Istanbul is a beautiful city, with plenty of genuine international five-star hotels. We deeply regret that we did not choose one of them.
Here is what we experienced:
* We requested a baby crib well in advance of our arrival, and the hotel confirmed it. Naturally, it was not there when we arrived. We went out for dinner for an hour and came back — still no crib. After multiple complaints, a staff member finally brought one, only to prove completely incapable of assembling it. He eventually left it there with both sides collapsed inward. Apparently, “baby safety” is an optional feature.
* The front desk staff were neither helpful nor interested. Their preferred approach seemed to be indifference, followed by shifting responsibility elsewhere.
* At my request, the receptionist called the manager. Before handing me the phone, however, he started explaining and defending the situation to the manager — apparently assuming that I could not understand what he was saying. Not professional.
* The housekeeping staff leave their cleaning carts and supplies in the guest corridors overnight. (!!!) I have genuinely never seen anything remotely like this in a 5-star-hotel. When the hotel reads this review, I fully expect them to explain that this was “only during the day” because of ongoing work. That would be a lie. Guests can see it for themselves. I have stayed at plenty of five-star hotels, and I have never encountered one where housekeeping equipment and carts were simply left in front of guest rooms overnight. Disgusting.
* The rooms are small, poorly maintained, and poorly ventilated, with bathrooms that have essentially no ventilation at all. And the bed? Incredibly uncomfortable.
* In the main king-bed bedroom, both outlets next to the electric kettle were out of order.
* During breakfast, a waiter collecting the plates from our table started pouring the leftover food from the plates together over the table. Right above our table. It was absolutely disgusting. To be fair, the breakfast itself is decent and reasonably high quality. The problem is that the breakfast room should be approximately 70–80% larger. Also, for a supposed five-star hotel, there is no live pancake station or fresh omelet show kitchen — and Turkish coffee and tea are sold separately for an additional charge. Because apparently, we had not paid enough for the five-star experience yet.
* The pool is tiny, with very limited seating capacity. The photographs are completely misleading.
* The entire hotel feels like a low-cost airline that decided to maximize profit by squeezing as many rooms as physically possible into the building. Rooms everywhere. Even underground. Rooms behind the reception. Rooms next to the stairwell. Tiny rooms everywhere you look. Absolutely awful.
* Hope you are not assigned a room in the left wing, because then there is at least a chance that your window will not be facing the fire station or an apartment directly across from you.
* No pool towels
Hotel tres etroit partout, (lobby, chambres , couloir).
