Location & cleanliness
Nothing I liked everything
Nothing
Be careful and document everything when staying here. We were charged $85 for “damage” to a lamp that was already broken when we checked in. We reported it immediately, staff acknowledged it and removed the lamp, and we have timestamped photos from minutes after arrival — yet the hotel still refused to refund the charge. Extremely frustrating experience and poor handling of customer concerns.
The friendly and helpful guy in the lobby who came from Bangladesz
Camera spaziosa, come da descrizione
Staff alla reception non molto cordiale e diversi rumori notturni provenienti dalla strada sottostante che anche con le finestre chiuse si percepivano
Very clean and large room
Poor experience overall. I’m very disappointed with this hotel. Our first impression was actually positive—it’s an older, somewhat outdated property, but it was clean, and we had a nice view from our window. The location is convenient in the sense that there’s a Subway nearby, but the surrounding streets are very dirty, with trash everywhere.
However, we experienced a very concerning incident right after check-in. Anwar, who checked us in, was already struggling to count the cash payment we were required to make, despite knowing we had just arrived. About 30 minutes later, after my family had stepped out and I stayed behind because I wasn’t feeling well, he entered our room without knocking. When I said “hello,” he immediately slammed the door and left without any explanation or apology. It felt extremely inappropriate and unsettling.
Unfortunately, things took an even more serious turn on our last night. After returning from a day of sightseeing, we discovered that items were missing from our room. These weren’t just random belongings—they were gifts from a close friend, carefully packed in small boxes inside a paper bag on the floor.
When we reported this to Anwar, the situation was handled very poorly and unprofessionally. He was overly talkative, deflected from the issue, and claimed he had no responsibility. He also said the main manager was “asleep” at the time. When he learned that the value of the missing items was around $100, he seemed relieved and made no real effort to assist or resolve the situation.
I made it clear that this wasn’t about the monetary value—the items were meaningful gifts from someone I only see once every couple of years. Despite this, my concerns were dismissed, and I felt completely belittled by his response. Anwar said he would contact the manager once they woke up and follow up regarding compensation. However, the next morning, he simply handed me a business card and suggested I reach out myself.
Good location, clean, comfortable, good value for money
L emplacement géographique...tout autour
Rien
I stayed 3 times and each time I needed and appreciated the quality of sleep, the view from our rooms (all king superior rooms), the ability to leave all of our luggage after checkout for basically the whole day, and developing a pleasant relationship with the front desk agents and manager.
Each stay the quality went down in the rooms booked. We stayed in 501 which seemed roomier than the others, everything was finished properly, to 603 which was smaller and lots of pain chipping, and small holes in walls, but the additional curtain was nice. Then on to 502, which the water came out brown in the bathroom, no full length mirror, and though it was hot, the heat was on for the whole hotel and you can’t adjust your own temperature when the heat os on. Luckily it seemed they turned the heat off after i and maybe others complained. In terms of the brown water we found out they had just changed the boiler and no one had come to run the water and make sure as a guest we didn’t have to experience that. They try within their ability to make the guests happy, but you can tell the owners are not very interested in guest satisfaction even if the manager and front desk agents are. Some of these issues are like…it’s NY whatever, but they could tighten up their approach to managing certain things.
