Terra Nova Hotel

Value for money. Located in a building without much charm, our room was as described on booking and located on the 1st floor with lift. The layout of the room was basic, but suitable for sleeping. Free parking nearby. 15 min walk from the centre. The hotel was being renovated and at night we had the impression that things were being dragged across the floor which prevented us from sleeping.

Many convenient shop, restaurants, bar nearby. Indeed very good location. Price is extremely Affordable and Reasonable. Highly recommended for business trip and family. TheParking lot are always available because the area is still new.

Located just near the city(perfect location),the hotel is clean and provides u great hospitality.The staffs were very helpful.The hotel provides u almost every facilities from good rooms.
Overall experience was awesome.I'll recommend dis hotel to every couple and families:). You wont regret,just be there:)

Good location, easy parking, clean bathroom and nice desk service. Quite room and good air conditioner. Everything and recommended for solo or couple stay. Location near to Malacca town and nearby food attraction.

The basic facility is complete, but some items provided are in quite a poor condition especially the towels. They provide very minimum utility per person such as 1 pillow, 1 access card and 1 towel (didn`t even provide face towel). The television reception can sometime be cut off without reason and has to be restarted. However, there are some staffs who are quite professional, cheery and helpful.

the room condition is better than expectation and clean. The front line staff was very professional and friendly. However, we a bit disappointed with wifi service, its very slow. The location is near to town center about 5-7 minutes drive.

Stayed here b4. Luv the cleanliness and location. Area feels very safe.with plenty of parking. Stayed in a family room and it was just big enough. A thoughtful kiblat sign on the ceiling, hand soap, shampoo and shower gel dispensers in the bathroom.

No mini fridge tho.

the room is clean, good service staff, the hotel is new. however since the hotel is located at the shop lot, it is disturbing by the new door shop for the shop renovation during the weekend sunday which it is interrupting the sleeping and resting time. the roof top restaurant is available in the hotel however it only open if there is a function held or group travel tour. overall is ok to stay for a short trip.

Good performance of front staff , friendly , and always smile . The room was so peace and suitable for honeymoon or vacation 😀 the price of room can be budget cause it was so recommended for all people . Thankyou for your service to us 🤩

The location of this hotel is very good. Away from busy downtown. With wide parking spaces separates the hotel from the main roads and junctions. Therefore, a little quieter.

Also booked a room with them for 2 nights at the very last minute. Arrived early evening to check in. Request for twin bed room, since there are 2 of us. Got into the room. Since its twin bed, the walking space is a little narrow with very classic wooden furniture set up and without door cupboard. A very basic setup.

It seems the room was made up in a hurry. The bathroom has water puddles. although generally was dry.

The bed is comfortable and hard enough. Internet connection is very good. It seems they have room service where a very very small menu was stuck on to the table top

Next day was out of the hotel early morning around 8AM, and hung the "Please Make Up the Room" card at the door latch outside. Returned to the hotel and back to the room around 6.30PM. Found the "Please Make Up the Room" card is still hanging at the door latch outside.

Went into the room and found the room was not made up. Rubbish in the trash bin was not taken away, complimentary bottled water were not replaced, complimentary toiletries were not replaced, used towels were taken away without replacing with fresh towels.the beds blanket was tucked in, bed sheets still has wrinkles and were not made up properly, the bathroom floor is not even cleaned and puddles of water is still visible, as though housekeeping man just let the water drained off without drying the puddles of water.

Saw the housekeeping man and request for fresh towels, complimentary bottle water. Handed over the towels and bottled water and just walked off.

Also the sound proofing in the room is very flimsy when the next room doors were closed and can clearly hear the loud bang of the door(s).

The tap for the bidet were noisy after turning off. It was noisy through out the night and did not have a peaceful sleep. Definitely need maintenance.

Service is really terrible and absolutely would not recommend to stay in this hotel.

Room is of cosy size with all the basic necessities (toothbrush, shower cap, bottled water, etc) provided. Room is relatively clean.
One issue I have is the air conditioner that blows directly on the head of the person sleeping nearer the door. The air conditioner doesn't oscillate and the constant flow of draft through the night is uncomfortable.
Another minor issue is the other hotel guests banging their room doors throughout the night. This can be clearly heard in the room.

The room was comfortable and great. The staff were very helpful. Definately will stay here on the next upcoming trip. Location was good and plenty of eateries around. Short drive to centre of attraction.

I have always stayed here every time I come down to melaka. Unfortunately, nowadays there more and more bus loads of mainland Chinese tourist staying here. They are a nuisance, loud and uncivilised. However, this hotel continue to be my favourite because of value for money, room is sufficiently big, clean bed and a working bathroom.

Room was well kept. Bed is also nice to sleep. Good location and convenient to find food at the surrounding. Worth for money to stay in this hotel. Will recommend to my friend and relatives. Definitely will stay again in the future!

We have stayed in this hotel during our year end vacations since 2015. The furnishing seems a bit tired and aged now. But we are still satisfy with the standard of room s cleanliness to date. The hotel is near amenities so very convenient.

Rooms are very clean and nicely prepare by the staff. Staffs are nice. Few minutes away from town unless you come during public holiday. There are restaurants near the hotel if u need food at night...

Had an enjoyable shower as the pressure of the shower was strong. Room cleanliness was as per the required standard. Tried to check-in earlier at about 11.30am but was told that check-in was at 3pm and that the room was not ready. Gave my phone number to the receptionist to call me once the room is ready but never get a call from her. Street parking was ample around the hotel. Appreciate the staff to call my room when they noticed that my car booth was not closed. Thank them for their alertness.Keep up the good work, maintain the cleanliness and I will definitely return back to this hotel.

I booked through Agoda for this hotel and for deluxe bed instead of twin bed but I didn’t notice it. Do I put a remark there to request for twin bed but on a day upon check in, I received an email from the hotel and told that the twin bed is not available. So I call up the hotel for help and solution. After their customer service reception listen to my reason for a twin bed, they try to arrange and lastly managed to shift the room for me to another type without any chargers. Thank you very much for their understanding especially the reception service whom I spoke to but I forgotten her name. I wish to give a credit for this. I will definitely stay here again and it’s always my choice of Hotel whenever I’m in Melaka. Cheers

I have always find Terra Nova value for money. The room is clean, sufficiently big, air conditioning works, bathroom drainage working and a firm mattress. The only problem there is a lot of mainland Chinese tourist that stays as well. They will talk loudly in the corridor in the early hours of the morning. No consideration at all for others.

Everything is fine but it would be better if the staff can allocate guests to a separate floor which is further away from the noisy tour group.
