Motel 6-Destin, FL

The first room was not cleaned well. There were hair follicles in the tub, a hole was punched in the wall. Dead flies and what appeared to be urine next to the toilet. The floor hadn't been swept or mopped as the bottoms of our feet were black. People were outside along the walkways and stairways smoking Marijuana like it was legal. The door on the laundry room looked as if the door had been kicked in. I hate to assume things, but I am most certain the folks next to our second room were involved in prostitution. I know that's not y'all's fault, but it didn't give my wife and I a comforting feeling with our kids next door. Our kids had gone to swim at the pool, and it was locked, when our kids asked if they were allowed to swim, a staff member told them that they needed to climb over. That was oddly weird especially from a liability standpoint. I do understand that not all of this is your fault, but the owner and managers do share accountability. Important opportunities of improvement would be, 1) Ensure housekeeping is doing a better job at cleaning the rooms, ensuring towels and linens are clean and there is sufficient inventory to exchange until the next business day. 2) Ensure management is adhering and enforcing the rules and policies of Motel. 3) Ensure that law enforcement is routinely making patrols around the facility. 4) Check the rooms by management for acceptance prior to customers arrival. 5) Fix the locked gated door at the pool. 6) have management deter any illegal activities i.e. suspected prostitution, illegal drug use etc... Again, not trying to scrutinize this motel or its ownership. Just being honest and trying to give feedback for positive improvement. I did not leave a Google Review yet as I have roughly 9 million views on my Google Reviews and do not want to hurt nor hinder this business or its owners.

Servics & Management

It wasn’t all the way clean when I went inside of it. The bathroom sink was dirty, and there wasn’t no shower curtain nor towels/rags. I asked for a shower curtain and never got one so I ended up having to buy one myself. I’m never going there again.

I mean everything, room was dirty upon arrival, room card stopped working, no towels after the 2 they left at arrival were dirty, everytime I was in the office there were a handful of other people in there complaining about something too.

Bad service, no towels, made us wait later than check in, they would give other people our rooms.

The room was dirty and there was mold growing on the bathroom walls. The toilet leaked onto the floor. The floors in the room were filthy

The beds weren’t comfortable the shower barely had hot water the card reader on the door didn’t work properly

I opened the door and a bug ran out, the room was dirty and the front desk was not helpful. I left and did not stay the night.

Everything was filthy and gross and terrible.

Crack in front door with light shining through. Someone was using pot and it was so strong I kept looking outside to see if they were standing there. 2 towels in room, 4 people, asked desk for additional, they only had 1. No coffee in room, only at front desk. Corners of bathroom dirty, didn't see until moved curtain for shower.

I went to stay there another night and since I only had cash and was late at night. They would not take my money and I had to stay on the side of the building and sleep there outside
