Highway roar. Car wash wails. Cigarette ashtray smells. Sketchy characters. Hostile owners
Pros:

GOOD: location wise you are close proximity to Venice beaches and downtown area. Room was decent. Good water pressure and hot water.
BAD: when I checked in with my service dog the son refused to give me a ground floor room - repeatedly referring to my service dog as a “pet” - fellow disabled individuals be aware thanks to the ADA if a hotel refuses to accommodate you - the hotel is breaking the law. Report them to the ADA. Also - just morally disgusting - I am fully aware as an individual with an invisible disability to others you may look healthy - this is ableist discrimination - YOUR EYES ARE NOT ULTRASOUND - so unless you have ultrasound eyes please do not try to tell me I am not disabled. After requesting a quiet room the mother put me across the street from Tommy’s car wash. The hotel is next to a six lane highway, a car wash, and majority staying and working at the hotel smokes cigarettes. Gross. Also. When I went in to request the ground floor room the father was screaming on the phone at a guest who was upset their car or room had been broken into… why not take that call in the office? Unsettling.
UGLY: experiencing ableism and discrimination for being disabled and requesting a ground floor room. Ground floor room had a door knob - for the love of god hoteliers and those providing guest accomodations please just install all door levers. Just google door knob disability - door levers provide greater accessibility. I genuinely did not feel safe here. Stayed two nights and I regret not leaving when I arrived. The car wash operates from 7am-8pm. The highway roared 24 hours a day. Guests and staff were chain smokers - the entire grounds smelled like an ashtray.
My advice:
If you are disabled - do NOT stay here.
If you are travelling alone - do NOT stay here
If you are not a chain smoker - do NOT stay here
Honestly Motel 6 used to be a chain that offered reasonable rates and decent accommodations. Spending over a hundred bucks a night - is a rip off. Nope.

Cons:

Highway noise, car wash noise, cigarette smoke, sketchy environment, felt unsafe, staff were fully aware that I requested a quiet room and refused to offer a room away from the car wash and highway.

The manager and all the staff were wonderful. The location was great and I would stay again. It was perfect for our need
