Pros:

Emplacement derrière le château Frontenac, l'accès au centre historique est très rapide. Literie confortable.

Cons:

Chambre mal insonorisée, un peu de jour au niveau de la porte donnant sur les couloirs communs. Pas vraiment vu de personnel. Je n'avais pas retenu qu'il n'y avait pas d'ascenseur, mais ça ne m'a pas gênée.

Insane location, functioning aircon, but the rooms are falling apart with gross bathrooms
Pros:

Hotel Jardin du Gouverneur does literally one thing exceptionally: location. It is pretty much right at the top of the hill there behind the Chateau Fontenac, and an easy walk to all the cute alleyways of QC's Old Town. It also satisfied the need for a double bed room, with 2 full/queen sized beds. We were also checked in early, which was nice. Air con worked great and at least the room was nicely temperature controlled.

Cons:

The room is a bit of a disaster. Chipped power outlets, a bedside lamp that became loose and couldn't stand up straight (which was then not fixed after we requested help from the staff), the shower is way too small, bathroom dirty, with holes in the walls plugged with tissue paper, no counter space for two people to place toiletries, and yet this stay was the most expensive on our trip, especially for a mid-week stay. Clearly location trumps all, and indeed it's well located, but for a place to not have a concern for their rooms like this and charge what they do shows there's not much of a need to be concerned, I suppose. I mean, to be fair, we contributed to this by seeing other people call these issues out and still booking. If I was to do it again, we'd have picked a place a little further away and booked 2 separate rooms in a much more reputable location for about the same price.

Our room on the ground level looked onto the street and park, which was nice, but also everyone going by could look into our room. For this reason we had to keep the curtains closed.

Ubicació fenomenal, personal molt amable. La casa és antiga, però en general l’habitació estava molt neta (feia olor de net a l’entrar, llençols nets, lavabo net, cortines de la dutxa noves, no es veia pols enlloc).

Cons:

L’únic que caldria millorar és la neteja del capçal de la dutxa i el tap de la banyera.

Cons:

So dirty. Filthy. Gunk all over the walls, baseboards covered in dust and grime, mold in tub. Appeared to have never been cleaned.

Pros:

Posizione molto centrale per raggiungere le principali attrazioni turistiche (terrasse dufferin, le scale per raggiungere la parte bassa, …) e camera spaziosa.
Viene data la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli in struttura dopo il check out.

Cons:

Personale praticamente assente, ci era stato detto che sarebbe stato possibile lasciare i bagagli prima del check in ma non avevamo ricevuto alcun codice per accedere alla porta, fortuna che c’erano altri ospiti che ci hanno fatto entrare.
Il codice stesso ci è arrivato un’ora dopo l’orario previsto dal check in, viene lasciata una busta in reception (senza personale) con il proprio nominativo e le chiavi.
Anche il check out viene fatto in autonomia.
Vi sconsiglio di raggiungere la struttura a piedi, dalla stazione è mezz’ora tutta in salita!!

Good Times in Quebec!
Pros:

Absolutely loved the location! We also enjoyed the character of the building and the furnishings. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had fun watching FIFA in the common area with others. I would absolutely recommend this place to others.

Cons:

A shelf above the bathroom sink and hooks would be helpful in the bathroom.
