Could do better
Pros:

The friendly staff and the lovely room, which was a free upgrade to an executive room. Spacious, comfortable and clean. Dressing gown and slippers provided. Quiet and peaceful location too, not always easy to find in the hubbub of a city.

Cons:

Breakfast. The assumption that everyone would love to eat a cooked breakfast every morning. Personally, I don't enjoy cooked breakfast and would rather have buffet style. I believe the hotel thought they were providing this alternative but in truth it was a poor selection of cereals and fresh fruit (hard unripe melon dominating) and unimaginative bread for toast. I would have liked a choice of different breads, rolls, croissants. There was also an assumption that everyone would be happy with jam/marmalade/honey but I like savoury food at breakfast, such as peanut butter, cheese slices, cooked meats, Marmite. I think more imagination in providing a breakfast that would suit everyone is needed.

Excellent hotel in a quiet location.
Pros:

All 1st class across the board. Staff all most helpful. Room up to date design. No loose tiles or plaster. Room and bathroom
spotlessly clean. Bed comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Requested alarm call came on time.

Cons:

A wall clock in the room and a note pad would have been helpful.

Pros:

The staff were magnificent both on arrival and the morning. Requested a sandwich as I was arriving after restaurant closed, went above and beyond for me with a lovely ciabatti and crisps, well received.
The quirky old style was a wonderful throwback, beautiful hotel

Cons:

Not a lot tbh,

Pros:

Everything, we've stayed here many times now and we're never disappointed. It's the whole package, we had a lovely evening meal before we set off to our show at City Hall. Very welcoming staff with attention to detail, great breakfast and location for most places in Hull. All the rooms we've stayed in have been larger than you would expect, very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Thank you to all the great staff 😀

Cons:

Nothing to comment

Executive suite in annexe
Pros:

Quiet area but close to everything in particular the theatre. Free parking directly outside hotel.Very good breakfast. View from the room over looking a small park.Room was very large and had a fridge and a safe.

Cons:

The way the shower operated from the taps, had to spend time trying to get the temperature right before getting under shower.

Great city centre hotel, perfect for visiting Hull New Theatre!
Pros:

I was a solo female traveller, so I liked the fact that the staff were friendly and I had a good double room (I booked a single room) with double bed, which was spacious. I had a shower instead of a bath with shower over, which is what I requested and was given. There was complimentary coffee/tea and mineral water in a small fridge. The location was excellent on a quiet square, but opposite the Hull New Theatre where I was going to a show. It is literally 50 metres from the hotel, which was fantastic. I had a pre-theatre dinner of sirloin steak, which was cooked just as I like and a lovely glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Breakfast was very good and very quickly served, so I was able to book out early in order to get back home on time. I will definitely return if I want to see a show at the Hull New Theatre, as I feel comfortable staying at The Kingston Theatre Hotel and I think it is reasonably priced for a city centre location.

Cons:

Nothing.
