Worked well.
Pros:

Great location to get around and see the sights, very close to the markets.
Cool themed hotel.
Room was nice, but there's little space to store clothing for long stays.
Good value compared to other places.
Room and general hotel was clean and tidy.
Didn't notice much outdoor noise.
Carpet is a bit dated.

Pros:

Great location, staff and facilities. The onsen was great, clean and tattoo friendly.
The staff was super helpful and helped us sending our luggage to our next destination.

Cons:

The room was really tiny and directly above the main road. In the evening, it was a true nightmare as we could hear motorbikes and cars racing. (Don't get me wrong, I love bikes and jdm, but at 3 am, I just want to sleep.)
There could be more washing machines as it was difficult to find an empty one.
