The hotel was great but the restaurant and the free breakfast was “meh”

Nice budget hotel right on a lovely beach, my room was also right next to the train track but if you know Mount Lavinia you will know the train runs alongside the beach.
I have stayed in many hotels in the area this year and this one is a good middle of the road hotel in a great location.

Our 5th visit to Mt Breeze a great stopover from the airport if you are travelling south or when returning to the airport. Great service friendly staff and excellent food resonably priced. Rooms okay typically Srilankan which is polite for tired.But with fridge, TV and tea & coffee making facilities what more can you ask.

This place looks NOTHING like the pictures. The receptionist and staff were nice enough at first but soon after we checked in we realized this was not a place we could stay comfortably for 3 night. I asked about changing the reservation. They said I had to change thru expedia/ hotels.com. I called and changed my booking but I was obligated to spend one night there as it was past the cancellation cut off. We decided we would tough it out. What they don't advertise is that the train tracks are inches from the hotel. hourly or more frequently all the rooms would rattle and shake with the loud noise of the train going by. You had to cross the train tracks to get to their restaurant and the beach. It took forever for overprices mediocre food to arrive and there were flies all over. The rooms were musty but the A/C was adequate. The pool was good but you stunk of chlorine when you came out. The kicker was when we tried to leave the next day the manager took our luggage hostage and demanded that we pay for all 3 night or have expedia/ hotels.com email him in writing that they would not charge the hotel their commission. I had to get on the phone and after several hours of more threats from the hotel manager was able to leave with our luggage. Hotels.com reps were horrified and apologetic and tried their best to resolve the issue. The hotel receptionist appeared mortified by the strong arm tactics of this hotel manager. Whatever you do- DO NOT STAY HERE!

The hotel is close to the beach, in fact just across the railway line that runs right by the hotel. However this has never caused me any bother as they don't operate at night. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the facilities you need.There is a resturant in the hotel as well as the one attached on the beach. Others close by on the beach also.
There is also a swimming pool opposite the entrance. The hotel road entrance is guarded with a barrier and guardhouse.

I would not stay here ever had to ask them to clean room then on sauterday night there was music till 530 am one of the worst hotel I been in in Sri Lanka

Pleasent guys but the standard and service was not worth the price.

They should price like USD 20 all in for their standard.

Während meines viertägigen Aufenthaltes wurde mein Zimmer kein einziges Mal servisiert. Nicht gesäubert. Kein Handtuchwechsel. Kein Mülleimer geleert. Nichts. Habe so etwas noch nie erlebt. Eigentlich unglaublich.

Hotel was dismal. It needs total renovation. The breakfast was edible and tasty. This hotel should be your last Choice.

Dreckiges Bad inkl. Ameisenstraße durchs Zimmer; Milchglasige Fenster; Klopapier auf Anfrage; Keine Bettdecken/Leintuch; derzeit Umbau, ohne das wir es vorher wussten; Personal insgesamt sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Pool sehr sauber. Lage direkt am Meer - zwischen Hotel Restaurant und Hotel verkehrt der Zug - Ohrstöpsel sehr empfohlen. Restaurant sehr gut, auch normale Preise.

Hotel attaccato alla ferrovia che a causa del frequente passaggio delle persone suona a più non posso tutta la giornata. Spiaggia bella ma non curata a dire la verità sporca.

Good location, excellent restaurant with plenty of choice. You might need to ask for clean towels and room to be cleaned. Unfortunately beach not clean litter sometimes a problem wading through plastic bags when entering the sea made worse by fisherman dragging nets onto the beach leaving plastic bags to be washed back into the sea.

Decent value for money. No elevator though and the food menu is a tad 'limited' for fresh/healthy options.

The Hotel is not worth staying. From my arrival till my departure they disturbed me by saying that they didn't receive my payment from hotels.com. Even I spoke to hotel.com representative, who advised not to pay anything to them. Right from the reception, the accounts staffs till the restaurant attendant, asked me the same question every time I went there. One day, a management guy told me sorry for the inconvenience and promised me a free airport drop. But on the day of my departure, he simply refused and I paid the full amount in cash for airport dropping. The house keeping staffs didn't clean the room and replace the amenities including water bottle in the room unless they are requested to do so. In my 4 night stay, my room was cleaned only once that too after I had requested them. Overall, a very bad experience. Won't suggest anyone to use this property.
