I didn't like the restaurant downstairs has been closed since 2019, I didn't like there is no do not disturb sign and room service goes in every day unless you say don't, also there wasn't a microwave anywhere and the shower head was ready to explode an old head with glue holding it together?

Bad smell

It's an older building so there's no lift, only stairs. Fine for me, but something to be aware of when booking. Because of the proximity to Rosa St station some minor train noise can be heard, but it didn't impact on me being able to get a good night's sleep

Limited parking, was a 52 point turn to get car parked in a tight space. No elevator so be prepared for stairs. Hot water tap broke on our final morning, so quick cold shower it was, was just older tap ware.

no lift i could see , hard to find correct parking when dark and it was not secure justt round back of building - old bathroom with bad plumbing

There is limited space, both shower and room are very small. This time, we stayed on the side closest to Mercure, where the driveway is and the windows face the street intersection. This side was much noisier than last time, and the balcony was unusable because of a lack of privacy. There are limited facilities to make a snack, i.e. a toaster, microwave and plates, cutlery would be a welcome addition, or a shared kitchen facility. Lastly, if you are using public transport such as trains or planes, there is no flexibility with check in. We arrived early morning after a 26 hour train ride and had to wait until 2 pm to check in, we were exhausted by then. The next morning, our train left at 6 am, so we checked out at 5 am. But there is no concession on the rate for such a short stay over. There needs to be rooms allocated for travellers who need an earlier check-in for the above reasons. The lack of an elevator for heavy luggage is a disadvantage to higher floor levels, but the staff assisted us with this issue by providing a ground floor room.

No lift and my room was on the fourth floor, so I had to carry all of my bags up four flights of stairs. I had my room cleaned and my towels taken away but not replaced.

Parking was limited (11 spots). The laundry is locked and requires you to walk around the whole hotel to get to it. The rooms can be noisy. We changed rooms after 2 nights as it was that bad. The new room was great though. Also slightly faulty fire alarms which went off and ended with fire fighters in my room

Was some ants on the counter above fridge so maybe something got spilled but was OK

No elevator, so having to haul my suitcase up a few flights of stairs
